Thread: Old School Riflemen RoleCall

HI all I was just wondering how many of the Old Guard are left?


What qualifies as old guard? SImple if you mastered riflemen before they took out the 2.5x melee and mob warping.


This thread is not meant to down grade any of the new comers, but just to see who is left. IF you have trouble seeing this think of those soldiers who landed on the beaches of normandy. Those soldiers had a common experience and felt a sense of comradship with all those who went through it with them.


OK now that that is out of the way.



Goda was a rifleman the day I landed on Tat for the first time. I foolishly believed I would have the ranged advantage hehe.




BTW please only post once so we can get a accurate number.

When i first started my Character i went straight for Rifles. This being my first MMORPG i was amazed at how you could acheive what ever you wanted and of course after loving Snipers for such a long time, I chose the rifle path. I have been around since day 2 and do not recall when i first mastered but i thought it was ok then. I still recall the Beta guns that slipped through and dmg to players was like 6000-8000, so i dropped soon after and took up a long list of unfinished professions. I'm now on my 3rd attempt to master once again and soon will have the beauty that is StrafeShot 2.

Yeah i have been back for about 2 weeks now, but i am still not able to play all that much

Well I leveled up during the strife that was the early months however I didn't master until after the 2.5 was taken out. Actually I forget the exact date but it took me a loooong time thanks to my playstyle (hardcore hours, softcore play) and irl occurances. In fact I believe I hit novice the week of the T-21 fix, then nerf.

I mastered Rifleman on 8/01/03, and still am master. I was the first Bothan on any server, and 2nd on Eclipse

I leveled during the 2.5x and warping, but mastered around X-mas. I've been a rifleman since release.

I always chuckle when i hear someone say how hard it is to livel rifleman. Try leveling with bone armor and a dlt20a

Master since August. Still a master. My main fun is giving our Corrispondent a hard time on our server, same templates and same side we fight on. To bad he mastered before me


I still rather have the old days much more fun and less complaining. Man it makes me feel old...

I made novice rifle the night before the T21 nerf, and unfortunately was unable to get my hands on a pre nerf. Nobody knows what is like to have been the only proffesion in the galaxy that was afraid of the suicidal kreetles(why are they not extinct?)

Yes it was good knowing that those little pesky critters could probably bite your head off,if they came too close.


I remember praying to kill them in 3 or 2 overcharges before they got near me around Eisley...
