Rifleman Archive

First off, I am NOWHERE near a Master Rifleman, so discount my thoughts if you wish.

We as riflemen/women have seen a lot. We've been ShietKicked more than almost every other class.

Now the 3 second cap.

I for one, am seeing this as a PERSONAL challenge from SOE. " We want to wipe them out. ALL of them." I will not be wiped out.

Making it harder to get Master by hampering everything about the class just makes me want the title even more. I've been playing since Day 2, casually due to College and Life, And I've wanted to be a rifleman since Day 1. They won't stop me. We need to show this **edit**head company what we can do. At Novice, this class is hard, yet fun. Our targets are severely limited. OH well. Let's make do until we get better skills so we can take out the big stuff. I've spent more time killing Kaduus and Gualamas than I care to admit. It is getting me my Xp though. At master, we apparently dominate PvE, and do well for ourselves in PvP (this after watching two masters team up to off 5 guys)

I've learned to deal with the bugs. Am I annoyed by them? Hell yes. But I deal, as do we all. A poster came by here and complimented us on the fact we almost ALL solo, WITHOUT pets/bots. And we still survive. Yeah, I get killed enough, but it comes with choice of being a rifleman. My server (Bria) along with MANY others, have never seen a T-21, except the ones on walls/NPCs. But we make do. Now, the cap MAY come and hit us HARD. If we get a SEVERE damage upgrade, we will be a lot of fun, maybe even one-shots .

We can't quit. There are so few of us left as is, that when new Blood reads these caps, will they want to join our ranks? Not a chance, unless they are Die (<<keyword) hards. And I'm sure a number of us will leave. We will survive with a core few.

The riflemen we have now must persevere, or we will go the way of the miner and simply disappear. I, for one, will be a rifleman tothe end. Not justas an elitist, but because I LIKE the class. We need to carry on.

We can't quit. That's letting the Pistoleers/BHs/DEVS win. They beat us enough, we can't let them win again.

I will never not be a rifleman. My main goal has been Master Rifleman since I started and I want to reach that.

And yeah, I solo with nothing but me and my rifle. And yeah, I've tried grouping, but honestly, something is wrong when we run 6 imp missions and I come out of it with about 4k experience. I tried so hard to compete, but with a BH/pist and two commandoes my 1~2k strafeshot/flushing shot etc ever 5 seconds was a joke compared to the numbers they put out. On a 65k HAM base, I managed to get all of 700xp. Awesome.

But even if I did get decent group experience, I prefer to solo anyway.

I also will continue to persevere. If they want me out of the class they'll have to remove it all together and explain that. Sure would likea little justice though.

I wont quit, whether I get a spaceship and never use my dusty 'ol T 21 again is another story but that isnt for another year...assuming they can finish the expansion. I honestly am proud whenever I see our gun held out and people walk around not talking about anything, compared with that novice BH wearing their title like a badge and bragging at times...although I may just be in the wrong spot with more people then myself.

I'm sorry I have been a Riflemen for a while. Enough to Reach level 4 Sniper and 3-2-3 in the other skills. But I can't take the crap that comes with being a riflemen. The bugs are to much and the nerf stick is hitting not only to hard but to many times in this class. I play to have fun. And I did and still have fun in SWG but I don't ahve fun any more as a rilfemen. I, like the rest of you, pay my money to play and have a good time. I'm no longer having a good time. So bye bye Riflemen Hello Commando!!!

My main character will always be a Rifleman, ya I added cheese CH, but I will never leave rifleman cause its the hardest classinthe game. I play a crafter, I play a smuggler, and even a BH, but my rifleman is number one for me. Hopefully they fix us and I can remove the cheese.

I've made my decision I'm sticking with it!

Its been hard for us riflemen, since we lack the amount of weapons or any other class, and one weapon that we can get is near immposible to find since its components are SOOOOO rare. Not to mention how hard soloing as a rifleman is and that you cannot have 'Novice RIfleman' has your title, but you can have 'apprentice preformer'. We are an important support class, and should be treated as such.

i wont leave...i will just grind away slowly till i reach master...may take me 2-3 months, but its what i want to master in. If we roll the NERF dice again and it comes up craps?? well...i may make a DRASTIC career change. I'm figuring that they will get this game balanced eventually and i can keep my riflewoman. I REALLY dont want to be a commando, BH or pistoleer. Variety and individualityis the spice of this game...not everyone lumped into the same class or using the same weapon.

Rifleman forever...or till they **edit** on us again.

course I will never be able to PVP and forget about dueling.. but at least I will have the rarest title displaying over my head.. I am looking forward to all the snickers and giggles behind my back..at least they will only be in the chat window and not an on screen bubble..

Perpetual Faambaa Killer!

Shade, i too am a perpetual fumbaa killer

It took me a month and a half and i play the game pretty heavly. You have to remeber that they nerfed the T 21, also dmg across the board, made most mobs BAF. Once they did this my rifle exp droped significantly. IF your having trouble getting exp just ask the board, eveyone has a spot that gets good exp from and most dont mind sharing....
