This thread is to bring up PvP issues in regards to Rifleman. I do not PvP so will be looking for others to aide meand educating me in this regard and helping to keep me informed.
Please keep this related to the PvP aspects of the game. I understand there will be overlaps with PvE but please try to keep this focused on PvP.
Here is what I know so far about PvP.
The main issue is Mind targeting it seems. My personal opinion is that this results from a couple different aspects.
The main one being buffs. There are currently two different buff systems in the game. The result is that Mind and it's secondaries cap much lower than Health and Action. This leaves the Mind the prime target as it's usually the lower pool.
The other issue is stims. Not only is Mind the lower pool usually, but it also can't be healed with nearly as much ease as Health or Action.
One other aspect is Armor. The very high resits of most armor used in PvP coupled with buffs and the PvP damage reduction results is very little damage actually being done. This also makes a fair amount of weapons of little use since their damage output is easily negated by the armor and the higher regeneration rates from the buffs.
Those are the basics as I understand them presently. Please let me know of any other issues in regards to this or if I'm in error.

One of my complaints is that rifleman has really crappy defense vs stats as compared to other ranged professions. That and Block doesn't work.

one point is that AP rating of weapons don't mean to much agaisnt resists. AP rating just is another fancy way to say it does more damage. be real nice if Rifleman could increase the AP rating of a weapon, or even lower resists of thier target

We have the only AP1 Stun weapon the game which is combined with a powerful mind pool hit. This is overpowered depending on how you look at the situation. If everyone had 50-60% base armor tops, then the Jawa would not be so overpowered. But 80-90% armor puts stun damage over all types of damage.
Our accuracy while moving needs to be changed so that we take a big accuracy drop while shooting and moving.
Block needs to be fixed so that it activates more often (same problem as CounterAttack)

I believe block works, but it blocks only 50% of the damage, plus the state gets through. I think we are more of an offensive profession as well so I really have no problem with crappy state defense.

I was messing around today and I never did see a block our counter attack(as some say this pops up instead of block)

Accuracy at close range could be lowered (as well as a Pistol's at long range). But I'd say that being accurate while moving is just a must in today's PvP environment. Melees can attack (knockdown and posture down) from 15-20m,a thirdof our max range. And supposedly a sniper can work in this system?

We only have +10 to accuracy while moving while Carbines and Pistols are higher...
And I really cant see a sniper in this environment.

It is worth taking another look but I am pretty sure it is still working. I got jumped by a bunch of rebels and blocked a few times. The states were hitting me everytime and it appeared that it was only reducing the damage by half.

To address what you specifically identified as major issues:
1) Mind Pool - This is not an issue, a big, or something that needs to be nerfed. This is strategy. Doc buffs have become highly effective, increasing with high end doctors pooring the absolute best resources into them. However, mind buffs, when you take the time to get them, are usually hard capped. Very few entertainers use enhancements to boost these mind buffs up. Furthermore it is now more difficult to find a buff bot after the AFK macro nerf. None of this has anything to do with Rifleman inherently. What Riflemen did was identify this as a weakness, and take advantage of that. That is no different than changing your weapon from a T21 to a Jawa when you realize that 90% of your damage is being absorbed when you use the t21, and only 39% when you use stun. Tactics. Strategy.
In addition, Riflemen are not the only ones who attack mind. I would like to hear this complaint when A TKM dizzys me and then spams knockdown and mind attacks intermittently.
2) Armor - Fix AS, not nerf Rifleman.
To fix the percieved issues:
A) Drop more loot, or add more craftable Tailor and BE clothing, that adds boosts to Entertainer's mind buffs. Mind buffs at the level of a Doc buff would nullify any percieved Rifleman advantage all on its own.
B) Focus AS crafting on 75% across the board caps without using rare loot drops. Make stun easier, the rest much harder, and bring in Superior Faction armor, as well as making BH, Manda, and RIS armor far superior to Composit.
C) Allow entertaining buffbots in the cantina of major cities, but eliminate the spamming that goes with it.
D) Introduce replacement specials within the rifleman profession that target Action and Health specifically (similar to TKM). Replace seldom used or bugged attacks with these.
