Thread: Anyone else think the Berserker is a little much?

Ok, so here's my understanding of things: In a soon-to-come patch, the Berserker will go live and will be lootable from the Corellian dungeon, and that this gun does blast damage.


Now, I'm quite happy with the DXR-6b, and whatever that kinetic rifle is we have now (I haven't gotten one yet), but I think this is pushing it a little too far. The reason being, is if this rifle is any good at all, it will be the end of any and all factional turrets as we know it. Heck, I can solo large dish turrets now using the DXR-6b, with a blast gun I could most likely destroy the most powerfull turret, and give those AT-STs a run for their money. Wouldn't this just be turning Rifleman into Commandos? Anyone else think this would be giving us a little too much power?


But at any rate...if this rifle goes live, I'll be the first to test it out on my favorite Imperial turrets

There is no kinetic rifle. I believe Tusken Rifle was kinetic way back whenever, but they changed that to energy.

I'm referring to the rifle you get from doing a mission for Victor (go to tusken fort, take out a 300k tusken, bring his head to Victor). I'm pretty sure it's kinetic

Never had one of those Lithanium Rifles from Victors quest.. but reports are that this Rifle also has been changed to Energy damage.. and that makes me a sad Panda

I have not seen ANY screenshots with stats of the berserker rifle. This blast damage crap is just another retarded rumor that won't stop until someone posts an actual screenshot.

They supposedly changed the lithanium rifle since it supported our stance that tuskens were originally kinetic but they just don't want to change them back.


As for the berserker rifle...likethepenguin deprived poster above me said, it's unsubstantiated and unlikely. They probably aren't going to give us anything too terribly useful like blast damage especially considering that we are the damage dealers and that is our role. If it was a carbine I could possibly see it but we would deffinitely be too strong with something like that so I just doubt the dev's allowing it. Oh well, as the lithanium showed changing damage types isn't too hard so they can tweak it. Maybe we can get a kinetic!!!

too much power , dont be silly rifleman isn't overpowered . its those dastardly pistoleers brandishing their hand cannons , aka dx-2's that cause all the imbalance issues in the game.

Lol those pistolier with their hand cannons thats a good one.. do me a favor mmmk,

1. drop riflemen all together

2. Pick up master pistolier and Rogue

3. Use a pistol besides teh geosonian

4. attack riflemen in 80% come tell me if you can out dmg his regeneration


Carbines have the same problem, riflemen is fixed take that as a blessing and don't go knocking broken professions for wanting to get fixed.

And Fix Defence mods (hell i still can't hit a stacker with my 200 Rifle Acc. i can't imagine having 90...)

Just wanted to add that... (and yes i think the berserker is a little much, i think the dev's are in love with rifleman and hate pistoleers/carbineers)
