Well, thats not entirely true. I own a Beam rifle and it works.... kinda. I whipped it out on a lair the other night and you wouldn't believe the damage I was doing:17, 8, 10, etc. Let me tell you, when you reach Master Rifleman and fire that bad boy once per second at a Nuna or a Gnort, you are DA MAN! And with a powerup you might hit up into the 20's!! Amaze your friends! Astound your neighbors!

And when you're trying to impress the hot dancer at the local cantina and some guy whips out his T21... Just pull that Beam rifle out and watch him slink off in shame!

Is this "beam" rifle, the same as the ACID beam rifle? Or am I thinking of something else? If it is, wouldn't be a commando weapon? How would we be able to use it?

Open your skills browser and look in the weaponsmith ranged weapons tree for the "beam rifle schematic".

Nothing can use it, but it's a neat gun regardless. I had jennai there make me one to put on my wall because they look cool.

Does anyone know the difference between a Beam Rifle and a Beam Cannon? I know a Commando can use the Cannon, but what about the Rifle?

I believe the rifle is a remnant of beta and it was supposed to have been removed from the game, but I'm not 100% on it.

Oh, I see. That's wierd, sort of like the Republic Blasters a couple weeks back. Maybe they'll fix it, and riflemen will get another cool weapon!

I wouldn't count on it. Tookus correspondents5 monthsto get the Republic Blaster cert "fixed" (nobody knows how you get it or why it works for some people and not for others). But if you make a little noise then the correspondents gotta listen...

thats a good point shani, where's klaw when you need him? i know he's been busy w/ the FAQ (though for the life of me, i cant think of what questions i would want to ask, or what i could contribute...) i want a new rifle dang it! not that i could afford it, though w/ a whole pack of rangers to hunt with, i suppose we could scare up enough hi-quality resources to pay for it (ook was gettin 30cpu for some avian meat, and 50k to tell some cat where he found it!). while just a wall decoration would be sweet, i wanna shoot one! or a krayt t21... hmmph, maybe i should see if i can solo a krayt now w/ concealshot... i have a horrible feeling that im gonna die..
