I am going bh 3040/master pistoleer after the CU. I will have enough room to take master rifleman if I want. Do you think you will still be as good as you are now at the high end mobs as before? Also just for my backround, I am now a swordsman/doc and tired of needing a rifleman or jedi to kill the really high end stuff in a timely manner. I can solo anything, just takes forever lol.

Kind of hard to say. We haven't started testing yet so have no idea how everything will shake out.

Wow a rep replied to this. I think I might take up rifleman just cause you replied lol. This is very rare on all the other profs I have had. Plus Rifleman and fencer are the only elite combat profs I have not mastered, so I gotta do rifleman

I'm thinking rifleman will always be very high up there as far as damage wise goes, you will robably want t bring a tank with you though, like comando's do now.

took words right out of my mouth. It is down between rifles or smuggler and commando for me. I will have bh-3040 (if this is still live bounties and pistols) and master pistoleer also

Of course, with the removal of AP-AR, I would hope that there will be some sort of compensation for the likes of a T-21 as Heavy AP is one of the draws to the rifle. And given that a T-21 does not use of the special attack types (aside from Kinetic & Energy) listed as coming from the CU (acid, heat, etc), one wonders what the the draw will be to even use a T-21 versus a DXR.

Again, one must note that since testing has yet to begin....no one knows (other than the devs) what to expect and with the time deadline approaching for the expansion/CU release looming.....will there even be enough time to adequately test this balance or will we return to Day 1 SWG where the regular players become the guinea pigs.

Well with the "Wind Up, Shoot, and Wind down" thing. I'm guessing thats gonna be 3 seconds per SS2 or maybe 4 seconds. so it will take you 4 times longer to kill anything in a worse case scenario.

I would think rifleman will still be one of the primary damage dealers but if the CU does what it's supposed to do all combat profs will be equally good against high end stuff (each in it's own way) and no prof will be able to face this high end stuff solo.

I think that Rifles will still be the most dmg dealing (equal of Swords to brawlers) yet slowest proffesion, and since we are Gunners and not Snipers, we'll prolly have crappiest accuracy.

Saaay.... any chance they are giving us a Machine gun type gun? one you can place on floor (Like Omni Box) and shoot from in prone? That would be awesome
