What does everyone think about going Master Riflemna/Master Commando?
I think the skills would complement each other, especially with Acid Rifle.

Sounds ok, but you'll be kinda screwed if you go up against a meele user, because meele does 3X as much damage against someone with a commando weapon, and 2.5X as much damage against someone with a rifle

The melee damage multipliers were removed awhile back (Dec '03?). They have a bonus to hit. Not in damage.

You make refrence to the commando's Acid Rifle? The commandoes Acid Rifle is innefective at best...
If your going to take rifleman, i recomend you pair it with something that will add defences to your template, perhaps a melee profession.
Taking two professions with little to no defences has been fairly painfull in pvp and pve when i've done it in the past =P
just a few thoughts for you

I play a Riflemando, although not currently a master in either. I play it because I enjoy both professions. I'll be very interested to see what the Combat Revamp brings but to be honest I don't care about being the most powerful character in game. I just paly to relax and enjoy the game and for me that means being a sniper/demolition expert. PvP solo will be tougher if you take this route than rather than playingone of the more traditional templates but if you belong to a group and play appropriately, you'll find your place quickly. PvE solo is easier than PvP especially if you judiciously use your remaining skill points and employ droids, foods buffs etc. This is a template to play because you like it, not because you crunched the numbers to find the Uber-template.

I had this exact template when i was doing the FS grind. The problem is, you get hit alot and can sometimes die. I completed the grijnd with M Rifle/commando, but i did get through alot of armor.
The best solution it to drop rifleman and go tka/commando or fencer/commando, these work extremly well and you can then use the profession to help the jedi grind. I suggest tka because you have some good melee defenses and will never die. (unless Armorhole or broken armor of course)
OverView: Go commando/ Melee, preferably tka or fencer due to the melee defense or the dodge, i have a friend who is fencer/commando and he seems to do well and does not get through half as many suits as armor as i did.

Depends on what for.... You will have some good ranged and melee defense. + you will have LOTS more attack to use with the flamethrower or whatever as all rifle specials work with MC. You will also have some good unarmed damage aswell to use with commando...Sounds good.

Yeah. The big rumor is that the flamethrower may be able to make use of Rifleman Specials as well as commando ones. I've alsow been hearing that the FT is going to permanentnly fire in a "cone" and be able to hit multiple targets. Commando/Rifleman sounds like it could be really good, but we won't know anything certainfor a while.
