prone at 60m
headshot2 untill they drop (you get three free shots, if you have a good slice/powerups, this should do it)
if not, see if you cant get a stocked laser, makes it very nice and acurate at point blank.
Conceal is nice though i tend to use it to knock down the health of all three mods outside a lair then use one of our aoe shots to kill all three at the same time. Its fun to hear three pikets fall at once. But yeah either one of these methods would work. Though if you didnt want to spend money and fight the slightly more deadyly mods you could chose similar game on beginner planets. Ronto's on Tat were pretty good leveling creatures if and when you could find them.

i have a speed sliced T21 with speed powerup. 3.3 speed. Get conceal shot, go to dant, kill quenkers with conceal shot. You get as many free shots as it takes to kill the thing as long as you dont get too close. I dont know why others dont stress conceal shot, its the best thing to happen to solo rifleman levelers since sliced bread. And i would know about bread because my last name is sandwich
While I was leveling, I used concealshot more than any other shots. Of course that was in the days of the 2.5x melee modifier, when you were shooting up hill in the snow to kill creatures. Why you young whipper-snappers do not...err...sorry...started drifting there for a minute.
But seriously, I still use Concealshot even at Master, just not as much. However, there are valid reasons why people prefer other shots. First, to compensate for its "kill without being aggroed" abilities, Concealshot has higher HAM costs and a longer (time till next shot) delay than most other shots. Also, it is Random pool damage. So you can actually kill a creature faster and cheaper with Headshot2, which has the same 2.5xdamage modifier as Concealshot, but has lower HAM costs and is a targeted pool shot so its damage is not being spread out between three pools. Also, you cannot use bleeds with Concealshot. As soon as the bleed hits, the creature will aggro, negating the conceal of Concealshot. Finally, FlushingShot2, Startleshot2, and Strafeshot2 are all area effect shots with higher damage modifieres than Concealshot. Thus, you can do more damage to more things at once than you can with Concealshot.
So, for early leveling, if you can kill a creature in about 3 shots, you may bebetter off using Headshot2 than Concealshot. After you reach CounterSniping III, under the right conditions, you can level faster using Flushingshot2. If you want to single pull a creature from a crowd, such as to aid in a group hunt, starting with bleeds are useful, in which Concealshot becomes moot. So there are reasons people prefer other shots.
But if you want to take on higher level content solo that you cannot chance with other shots, Concealshot is unbeatable. If you want to fight in groups without that annoying tendency for critters to single you out of the group (I have had a voritor fighting a group of people surrounding leaveto charge 50m or so to come after me), Concealshot is a good choice. Or if you are not buffed and/or just do not want to deal with the hassle of having to run for your life from a gnort, Concealshot is da bomb.

Unless I missed something, /takecover is still useless, so go ahead and save yourself some time by just forgetting about it. It'd sure be nice to have it good for something though...![]()
I dont think it is, i get three shots just going prone before getting aggored. with /takecover its always atleast 5, usally i dont get agroed at all. only if i miss once or twice and doint kill it before 5 hits.
