Thread: Rifleman Exploit?

I am not a rifleman, but a TKM/Pistoleer.

Our guild on bloodfin has been accused by our opponents that claim there is a bug with rifleman that a specific order of attacks can prolong the amount of times a person is incapped. I DO NOT want anyone to post how to do this, but as being riflemen, can you please verify if this is possible or not? They say that there is way to make somebody go incap 5,6,7 etc times to grief them w/o a death.

PLEASE CONFIRM!

apparently they are being accused of using some secret rifleman attacks that allows them to incap a single person more than 3 times without them being cloned. I've never seen it, but who knows.

Were the people that were incapped incapacitated 3 times within 10 min? The rule is if you are incapped 3 times within 10 min you die, but if you are incapped more than that then it depends on how much time has passed in between incaps.

Dude,

I bet they are getting dizzy not incapped. Just like a TKA can knock you down so can a rifleman. We have to dizzy you then change your posture.

I have not heard of such an exploit, but I would find it hard to believe that it was rifleman specific. But since I have not interest in using exploits, I do not keep up with these things.

Here's what they are claiming...

Some of our riflemen are using shot combos that somehow when they get incapped it is not really registering as an incapor somehow resetting the incap timer. So they can incap and grief over and over and over until somebody actually performs a db.

*I* think its because the time is 10 mins and these things happened while taking down a base. BUT I want to investigate this because if in fact one of our rifleman have figured out a trick and using it in PVP, they need to be dealt with. If it is not possible I would like to give the people claiming exploit a cookie.

I have been a rifleman around 9 months. Never heard of anything like this. But with each new code drop comes the potential for new exploits.

By the way... ask them to save their COMBAT LOGS to see what is happening to them. The combat logs would hopefully reveal behavior like this.

Was there an effect from SS2 that none of us know about 'cuase it only effected other rifleman? Memory is fussy on that one...

I do know this: now that carbineers have AoE KD our Flurry2 would dizzy an area ... if they try to get up... might confuse them into thinking they was incapped.

I have never PvP'ed enough to know if this is even possible or worth it. I do sometimes try stun and dizzy in support of the tanks in our hunting group to assist in killing faster.

were any of them poisoned or diseased. maybe even mind fire. there seems to be a bug in the game where you can keep getting incapped over and over again with weapon dots that are capable of incapping, or cm poison/disease incapping that will go on and on until someone db's you. this isnt a specific rifleman exploit, those people you were fighting are just sore losers.

Could have something to do with that dizzy bug. I have seen someone go incap 3 times in one sec from it. They are dizzy, get incapped then get back up only to be incapped again.

Just a thought.
