I was a Wookiee Master Marksman and halfway to Master Rifleman when I rerolled a new character on another server to play with coworkers. I rolled a Zabrek, and now I am probably never gonna play my Wookiee again.

I just wanted to alert other riflemen to my findings. If you are not playing a Zarbek, I HIGHLY suggest trying one out for a few days before grinding through the rifleman tree. The 900 willpower means you can stop worrying about that blue bar. It regens FAST. The difference is night and day. I origionally rolled a wookiee because I like playing large races and I wanted to use a bowcaster. It's just not worth it. Zabreks look cooler anyway.

900 willpower. I ran out of powerups to reduce the mind cost on my laser rifle and I could still spam headshot indefinately. Now, it's true, I haven't even hit novice rifleman yet, but I can already tell, I'm not going back.

Anyone else have anything to add to this? I have been pondering Making a Wookiee Heavy Swordsman/Rifleman.. but.. If Zabrek is by far a better choice, I am not too horridly attached to being a Wookiee with his character

IF you want to play a rifleman the best it can be then be a Zabrek,Wookies cap at like 600 so it can HURT compaired to a Zabrek. Huge arguement going about on raising other races ability to raise their mind stats but the Zabrekfeel it should be an Zabrek only ability... make up your own mind im staying out of that one...

I became a Wookiee not for the stats. But for being a Wookiee. You were never a real wookiee. Besides..rifle is my combat skill...but Wookiee just fits with all my other professions. Since I am a Wookiee Ranger, Creature Handler, and Rifleman. And I think my Bowcaster is worth it!

I'm the only one who thinks race shouldn't matter.... what gives?

Wookies get pluses to CH, Trandoshans to unarmed. Zabraks secondaries for health and action cap at 400. If your a Zabrak you cant wear a full suit ofcomposite without all encumberance lowering slices. If your aHuman you can, If your a Bothan you can. Wookies cant wear armor because it goes along with the Star Wars thing, what Wookie would like being cooped up inarmor anyways? They get pluses to action and health. Every characterhas theirpluses and minuses, without that this game would get boring if everyone could do the exact same thing equally well. There are very few Trandoshans who would want to sit back and kill someone with a rifle, they'd want to get up close and bash the guys head in.

Race doesn't matter, hahahahaha man you smoke way to much crack.

Here is the reason why, races have different caps on how high they can make stats and no web sites to my knowledge document this in any way. They tell you the "bonus" to each stat but that means nothing.

A zabrak can have at min a 700 willpower and at best a 900 willpower its focus can go from 300 to 500 and its mind pool min I don't remember but its max is 1000.

A wookie can only get a 600 mind pool and I know its willpower can't get that high either.

There areraces that are good for rifleman human, zabrak, mon calamari and mabye bothan ( I forget there stats)

The mon calimari is actually the best if you are just looking at stats since it can get a 1300 mind pool!!!!

Anyone that tells me race is unimportant either are roleplaying (which is just fine) or unaware of the stat caps in the game for the races. Now for us powergamer and stat fanatics riflemen only work well with the ideal races.

The bowcaster is indeed garbage. It has an AR of 0, which means, aside from a higher rate of damage, it's basically a glorified DLT20a. Maybe the Devs had meant for this to be the weapon of choice for newbie Wookie Rifleman, I'm not sure. Just don't swap out your laser rifle for the bowcaster when hunting the higher level MOBs or you'll get a quick trip back to the clone center.

A shame really, Bowcasters looked so **edit** cool too.........oh, well.....

Not sure where you are getting your stats. I'm a wookie and I have a 1000 mind pool. My mind secondaries are 450 and 525 I believe. I'm sure about the 525.

I've migrated my stats to 980 mind, 650 will power, 600 focus ( the focus and willpower numbers might actually be switched around, not sure as I'm at work ) I experimented the other day;I hit a 3 MOB nest ( Giant Baz Nitches with a tanking pet ), using Mindshot2 on each critter, then Headshot3's and my mind will last just about up until the last MOB drops.....and that's with a T21.

Spectacular? No, not really....but not too shabby either.

responding to the request for opinions on zabrak. they also have a nice ability called equilibrium that evens out your pools but it can only be used once an hour.

Don't forget Zabrak get /innate vitalize which boost your stat plus all the nice state bonus.
