That 200K price tag just hurts. I can buy 5 T-21s with AP3 for that, while the DXR has AP2. I know that the DXR has ACID damage, which is good. So, is the DXR really worth it, or should I just use the T-21 for the time being. It's not the money, it's just justifying the expenditure.

Few reasons to buy one.

1. acid cuts through psg

2. never ever will you see people use acid layers in armor (ok someone take a pic and post it but point is its rare)

3. some places have high end things with 100% energy and DXR is our second biggest damage weapon also lots of low end mobs dont get acid resists but have energy

4 the biggest thing is its huge huge huge accuracy without a scope it can be 79 at ideal and can reac well over 100. in pvp this will help hit those damn defense stackers. it is a favorite of many in pvp for this reason and the reason #1

And DE-10 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous a55 in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

What server are you on? If on Eclipse, contact me.... (Unfortunately, probably wont be back in-game until Tues night).

I have a couple "backups" that are mid-400's. Because you are an avid forum contributor, I'll let go one of them if you're on my server.

/agree completely.

And, a sidenote on this subject related to #1. Dueled someone the other day who was confused about dxr6's and their acid damage. When we say that acid cuts through PSG's, what we mean is that PSG's are vulnerable to acid and are therefore very nice in PVP, not that acid damage directly targets and damages armor. I had someone end a duel with me because he felt that a person should never use a dxr6 in a friendly duel because it "directly targets and rips apart armor."

Since you're on Starsider, look at what the current shift of Dathomir Carnivore Meat is going for. Now consider how much meat you get when you drop a rancor. Best rifleman weapon for dropping rancors: DXR-6B, baby.

As a Master Ranger, I'm able to go to Rancor Valley and get about 40 to 50 thousand units of meat in a buff session. That meat is currently selling for 50 to 65 cpu. You do the math, trust me... I can buy DXRs easily as this pace. And they are well worth it.

I experimented with accuracy on one once just for they hell of it and got it to +189 @ 63m. I was trying to hit +200, maybe some day.

a definite clarification that should have been made is the above number 4. i hear and use myself all the time that it "rips, cuts" through armor or psgs when we really mean it avoids psg's. nice catch there.

200k to me that sounds like a rip off. I payed maybe 75k for mine and it's still on the high end for damage and accuracy. From the above price it's pretty obvious you're not on corbantis server are ya.

Nope, Starsider. One of the most economically robust(expensive) servers in the game.
