Thread: Rifles with Visible Stocks?

I'm looking for a T21 that has a stock attached and is visible on the graphic. I've always been bothered by the fact that the T21 or laser rifle don't have a stocks on them? If you look at all the NPCT21 mounted in the environment, like in the weaponsmith guildhalls mounted on the walls, or in the rebel bases leaning against the walls, all the T21s shown have built-in visible stocks.
If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know. The reason I believe its possible, is because once I bought a laser rifle from the market and when I equipped it, too my surprise, the scope and stock that were listed in the stats were actually visible on the rifle itself!! The rifle was a sure fire laser rifle, just like any other laser rifle, but for some reason, I'm not sure what the weaponsmith did to make it possible, its stock was attached and visible and it had a scope attached to the top. I was so shocked that I mounted it on my wall and if anyone on Ahazi doesn't believe me look me up on Tatoonie and I'll show it too ya.
So if anyone knows how to make one or is selling one let me know. I'm on Ahazi under the name Yuuk Now.

unfortunately stock graphics are bugged and do not display properly ... your kinda out of luck T_T
some will show the graphics for stock and scope if they are hand crafted for the final combine but most still do not show the stock or scope. (so am saving my Imperial Retreat Stocks and Scopes until they fix the bug)

Doh!!!! So these are supposed to be a working option, but the devs just aren't bothering to fix it? Darn it
Seem like it worked at lease once for someone because I can see it on my laser rifle? Is there even a chance that it might might work at least sporadically on a T21?
yeah it is supposed to work (in fact most high damage t-21's have stocks....)
it does work on some and not on others (depends on rifle type) and if you have the weapon equiped no one else would see the stock and scope on your laser rifle T_T - on the wall we could
(you can probably see the stock and scope while equiped but others would not.)

You still won't see it. You can only see a handcrafted weapon stock/scope when you look at it in your inventory or if you drop it in a residence. If you equip it, it won't show.

wow, thanks for the replies.
so anyone know a nice master weaponsmith out there that is willing to handcraft a stocked T21 for me (without the muzzle) so that at least I can see it when I have it equipped? I just want it for the immersion (its a nice look). It'll have to be a good T21 though (600 damage 8s rof or 500 damage 6s rof). If you know any nice weaponsmiths outthere plz let me know?

- DXR-6 (stock and scope *even if not added to the weapon)
- Jawa Ion Cannon (stocks only and cannot have scopes)
- Tusken Rifle(stocks and scopes but the scope doesn't show up)
- Tusken King Rifle (stock only)
- Lithium Rifle (stock only)
- Berserker Rifle (stock only)
Rifles that do not show stocks and/or scopes to others while you have them equipped but you can view your character with them are:
- DLT20a[ http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/551239/screenShot0580.jpg ]
- Laser Rifle[ http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/551239/screenShot0247.jpg]
- T-21[ http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/551239/stt21a.jpg ]

- DLT20 ( *will post later* )
Weaponsmiths can add on scopes, stocks and muzzles to almost every ranged weapon offered in SW:G. The only downside is that not all items are visible to both the user and others around him. All weapons must be hand made to insure that the stocks, scopes and muzzles are visible. Also, the use of scopes, stocks and muzzles are done to help increase the performance of weapons though come at a cost to HAM. One other thing to keep in mind is that not all weapons can have scopes, stocks or muzzles added to them with some unable to have any at all. The following is a quick overview of what can be added to each:
- E-11 Rifle
- Can have a scope, stock and muzzle added to the weapon during build however doesn't show to either the owner, others nor displays if you're to view it from your inventory.
- CDEF Rifle
- Is classified as a rifle though no visible mods can be placed on it in addition to the fact that its image is a copy of the DLT20 which is a copy of the DLT20a. (We need different images for each)
- T-21
- T-21s can only have a stock added to it (don't pay extra if a WS tries to tell you that you can have a scope on there too as the schematic has never had the ability to hold a scope) along with the option to have a visible muzzle added to it. A visible muzzle added to a T-21 will be bent down at a 90 degree angle and is a known bug which has been around since beta; this is not a mount for a bi/tri - pod as the mount is back further near the cylinder in the middle of the weapon. The T-21 is a copy of the Lewis machine gun used during WWI and early WWII.
- DLT20a, Laser Rifle and DLT20
- All can have scopes, stocks and muzzles added to them and most are visible when displayed in houses, viewed in player inventory or while in the hands of your toon (looking through the screen of the player who has the weapon equipped) however not all parts are visible. The DLT20a and Laser Rifle can all have visible stocks and muzzles displayed on them with the Laser Rifle being the only one that the scope shows up on. The DLT20 will display both the scope and muzzle but never the stock. All stocks are generic meaning that the weaponsmith cannot chose from different styles where as with the scope and muzzle many times they're given the choice of several different styles. Most notably is with the scopes that can be added to any weapon that has an available scope slot. There are 6 different style scopes and images can be found here: http://www.swgcraft.com/showscreens.php?id=wscope.
- Spray Stick
- one of the most misunderstood weapons and especially rifles of SW:G is the Spray stick. This weapon originally fired acid though no longer does so but also has several unique abilities. Spray sticks are able to be used in close combat and usually offer a very high rate of speed. Many sit around 2.5 for speed with their ideal range being around 15m. They do only AP0 damage and can have a hefty HAM cost for its size but are great for dropping state affects in close areas.
- Tusken and Jawa
- Tusken rifles at one time dealt kinetic damage now they do only energy however can still be usable in some situations. All Tusken rifles require projectile feed mechanisms that can have bones added to them for additional power and/or speed. Tusken rifles can have stocks added to them though this is done to increase damage and/or accuracy along with a scope however the scope is not visible upon completion. The Jawa Ion cannon can have krayt tissues added to its power handler but has no option for a stock or scope to be added during manufacture.
- Lithium and Tusken King Rifle
- Both rifles are exact copies of the Tusken rifle found in game though one is a reward for giving the Tusken Executioner head to Victor (He'll only accept it if he's Mayor and you have until whenever to get your reward [I've had the head since his first election victory and finally turned it in the other day to get the rifle]). This rifle like all other Tusken rifles does do energy damage and if you're lucky and get a damage slice with a damage power up it could push well into 500+ max damage. Early versions of the Lithium rifle were kinetic but were changed after three days on the live servers. The Tusken King rifle is part of the Darkwalker quest on Tatooine where he asks that you get his grandfather's rifle back from Brovo. If you fail out of the mission you can keep his grandfather's rifle and make it your own. Even though the Tusken King rifle is energy and a variation of the Tusken Rifle, Master Rifleman are not certified to use this weapon.
- DXR-6 and Berserker Rifle
- Both rifles come from looted schematics and parts found in either the Geonosian cave or the Corellian Corvette. Both schematics are limited run schematics that Master Weaponsmiths can make and stats on both usually depend upon resources used during the build process. By default the DXR-6 and Berserker rifles have a visible stock (both to the owner and those who view it on a player character) with the DXR-6 having a visible scope attached as well. Even though the schematics give the WS an option to add a stock and scope (DXR) they do not have to be installed to keep the visible stock and scope that are found on these weapons. By adding these components it adds to the HAM cost along with the performance of the weapon.

It's possible it might have been fixed already. I gave a hand-crafted laser carbine to a friend, with stock/scope/muzzle and when he equipped it, I could see all of them. This was just a few days ago.
Nottotally true as those who view your character while holding the stocked weapon will not see the stock and/or scope. Check out my screen shots as that is my toon holding both a Laser Rifle with stock and scope along with a DLT20a with a stock and muzzle, all which are visible while the toon is holding it. I'll toss up some pictures of my toon with both a T-21 stock and bent muzzle and a stocked T-21 without the muzzle option added.
