i never tried soloing them when i was a rifleman but as a pistoleer with a mauler i have to take 2 runs at one to kill it. send in the pet blead and spam stoping shot till the tank gets down to 1k ham then peace and run camp heal the pet and go again. Now sinec the dx2 is only ap1 and the t21 is ap3 you can most likily do it in one run.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

it's quite possible if you have conceal shot and fire it about 50-100 times while prone. lol. for a normal canyon krayt dragon, that's about how many hits it took on a 600 dmg t21. the damage from each hit was around 500-660. drains your mind slightly quick at a master level. just make sure you don't end up switching to the normal attack if your combat query clears after getting spammed with the message telling you that you don't have enough points to use conceal shot.

conceal shot does rock. just hope it doesnt move around forcing you to have to crawl around.

Sure he's soloing it. If he spent all the time and skill points getting to master ch, then he should be able to use his pets to help him out. I mean, a chef should be able to eat his own food right? It is skills that he worked to gain, and pets he had to go find. Anyone who thinks it is cheap when CHs use their pets to fight for them is just mad b/c his class isn't the be-all-end-all god class. Every class whould be beaten at least some times. Right now, its the master CH that owns everyone. I hear they're getting nerfed again, so the complaints will probably all shift to how cheap it is for that carbine to do heat damage or something. If it is his style of play to use high level pets, good for him. Lay off.

while i don't agree with using pets (especially high-level ones like Gurreks) PvP- i think it's cheap and dishonorable to have something else do your dirtywork for you against other players- just mypersonalopinion.

PvE it's practically a necessity and hypocritical as it may be, i have no problemusing'em - although we do have conceal shot which will work on some things.

at master rifle/master marksman i've "solo'd" plenty of krayts by tanking them with large pets. With a GSP I can take a Juvenile krayt by myself (done this quite a few times), and with 2 grauls you can do a Canyon/ancient/whatever Krayt with out problems. the only thing to watch for is when they get squirrely and start running around - be careful not to get in it's pathand you'll do fine!

you will also need muon gold (using strafe2 with a Dmg sliced/poweredup T21)-

Kimo's, by comparison, are extremely easy. 15 shots with a dmg sliced/powered up Jawa + strafe2

Duelsend...

I agree with you. Using pets is not truly soloing.Thats like having someone tie bear up to the wall so he can't move then standing there pumping him full of lead til he's dead and telling your buddies "I soloed a Grizzly Bear!".

Well when i say solo I mean just me no other players, I view the pets as me since i worked to get teh skill to use them plus I went out and tamed them.

My apologies, Xonin...

Sometimes I get a little testy. I don't have a problem with anyone taking on a Krayt with or without pets. I mastered rifleman without any pets, but the sad truth is that the day I made master I went out and bought me a rock beetle and I use it all the time to take out piket lairs on Dantooine "solo". It is AMAZING the difference it makes, but it really is like telling the target "OK, you stand there while I stand over here andshoot you full of holes.". I have no doubt my first Holocron will say either "Master CH" or "Master Chef".
