I've gone out a few time and tried to kill some Giant Dune Kimogilias but to no avail. Relying on them attacking other Kimos isn't very reliable and conceal shot never seems to work with them. Not to mention their nasty habit of walking away or teleporting to you and delivering you a friendly package of desease/poison. I request help!

Easiest thing for you may be to just have a friend tag along and tank them while you spam HS3 or SS2.

yeah i guess a master swordsman/doc would be a great company on a GDK hunt

Then I have to split the loot. Anyone mind sharing some soloexperiences?

Ugh, excuse me for getting really annoyed here...
1) No, you do not need to split the loot
2) What's wrong with being nice and splitting the loot anyways?
3) You aren't supposed to be able to solo a GDK, so don't get mad if you can't
4) You don't have any friend who'll go and hunt GDKs with you without expecting you to split the loot?
If you don't have any nice friends and you don't want to worry about sharing anything with anyone and you absolutely must 'solo teh GDK', do this: Check resist. Decide on rifle. Walk up to 65 meters from it. Go prone. Crawl to 64 meters. Spam Concealshot until finished. Pause if GDK moves too close/far and adjust your position accordingly. Pause if concealshot misses. If missing becomes an issue, eat accuracy food and/or use a +100 DXR-6b. GDKs shouldn't warp, but sometimes do. Be prepared to run.
I hope you see why soloing isn't likely your best option. My first answerto you was to help you avoid the stress of trying to kill something that was not designed for you to kill alone. I have no problems soloing them and I'm sure most people here have done it, but no one can complain if/when things get tough. That's how it's meant to be.

It should not be a problem to solo. Just kite them (it took a long time though). I did it as Carbineer and I was not even master (think 4-4-4-3 or so). Should be a lot easier as rifleman.
But I did get some bad wounds lol (I logged in the Nym Spaceport and got load killed from some Nyms which spawned. All 3 bars were black).

I kill them at melee range, I put on my 80% kinetic composite, I'm master rifle/master doctor, and I just tank them myself without kiting, so I just heal anything he throws at me, and pop a bunch of ahrisa and brandy.
Takes about 5-7 minutes per GDK for me using HS3, but I think it's faster for me to use strafe 2,

XaverriJade7,
1) If someone is going to tank for me, then they are the ones losing the condition on their armor, they are the ones getting BF and wounds. In otherwords, they did all the hard work so I would give them the loot
2) Scales are rare and come in sets of one, the fact is that someone gets the scale and someone doesn't and I personally think that the tank deserves it more than the rifleman.
3) You aren't supposed to be able to solo Night Sister Elders, yet we can. It's the same thing with GDK. Forgive me if this seems rude but I'm not mad that I have yet to solo a GDK and I am not here for a lecture on what I am supposed to be able to do. I am here for advice.
4) Of all my friends that play/played this game, most have moved on, are crafter professionsor are doing the hologrind. This really limits the amount of tanks I have available to me down to zero.

2) Scales are rare and come in sets of one, the fact is that someone gets the scale and someone doesn't and I personally think that the tank deserves it more than the rifleman. You should be the one actually killing it, not the tank. Maybe 'decoy' is a better word than tank.

Forgive me if this seems rude but I'm not mad that I have yet to solo a GDK and I am not here for a lecture on what I am supposed to be able to do. I am here for advice. It did seem rude. When you asked for advice, you got some. Then you replied as if what you got wasn't good enough for you. There was no lecture on what you were or were not supposed to be able to do, but a simple statement of facts. If you want advice and are not happy with a particular response, please try to reflect that in a more polite manner in the future.
4) Of all my friends that play/played this game, most have moved on, are crafter professionsor are doing the hologrind. This really limits the amount of tanks I have available to me down to zero. Sorry to hear that. However, tons of people play this game. It shouldn't be too difficult to find someone to help you. I know it can still be hard at times nonetheless. I know for a fact that Kettemoor has some very nice guilds. Why not try joining one of those? You'll no doubt have plenty of friends who'll be glad to help you then.

You can do it easy with some medic and rifleman. Just put on good armor, get buffed, eat brandy.....and strafe away.
The only downside is that you end up with a few nasty diseases.

Go mRm + MD + novice brawler, use intimidate, 80% kinetic composite, cure disease stims and spam it with HS3 or strafe2.

What do you mena conceal shot doesn't work???? I take these things out all the time with it unarmored and sometimes unbuffed. With buff you just kneel 60m away or so, hit an auto conceal shot macro and come back in 15-20 min. Unbuffed you just got to heal every8 shots or so takes much longer.

Sorak what I mean is the last few times I tried this it always detects after about the third shot even if I don't miss. I'll try again tonight but this is the only mob that my conceal shot doesn't work against.
