Thread: More shots before detection.
That is why I am currently going Ranger/sniper. The ability to Solo unbuffed and even possibly not even have to use armor has great appeal to me

hmmm, are you using covert shot? if so you can keep at it until you either miss 3 times (rare at master ^_^) or a bleed hits.
prone + range 55m+ = 3 shots on average before detection but only if you are a using a slow rifle. if you have a fast one you may get more. CDEF = fairly fast for us. Maybe we should do some testing to see what the time limit is before creatures detect you. It may also have to do with the damge you do. low damage may mean more time before they attack. sounds like an experiement i will have to do tomorrow.

if less then 55m detected much more often
if greater then 54m and no misses fired until the creature died 90% of the time without detection

FBS (flit bloodsucker) average 13 hits over 75 test subjects
FY (flit youth) average 5 hits over 32 test subjects
F (flit) average 9 hits over 33 subjects
