I've just been a little bored and been fooling about with my prof calc and came up with this template, so what do you think?
Master Rifleman
Master Marksman (i did this part near the end when it was already 4444 marksman - master seemed worth 6 skill points for 25 ranged acc / 15 ranged spd / 5 ranged def)
0404 Pistoleer
0410 Carbineer (the xx1x seemed best use of 5 skill points for 5 melee def / 5 ranged def)
4000 Combat Medic
0410 Medic (the x4xx is pre req of CM, the xx1x uses the last remaining 2 skill points for +5 extra healing efficiency)
This gives these stats:
General Ranged Accuracy +235
General Ranged Speed +35
Rifle Accuracy +85
Rifle Speed +65
Rifle Defense +30
Ranged Defense +180
Melee Defense +115
Healing Efficiency +70
When making the template, I concentrated mostly on the stats and not the specials, however, noteable specials include:
Improved Crippling Shot (x4xx carbineer)
Improved Disarming Shot (x4xx Pistoleer)
Improved Stopping Shot (xxx3 Pistoleer)
Improved Bacta Toss/Spray (4xxx Combat Medic)
Bacta Shot (Novice Medic)
Charge Shot (xx1x Carbineer)
(Plus, obviously, all of the Rifleman specials)
All the specials seem to be there, snare (x2), root, ranged kd, heals, high damagers, etc.
This should end up CL79 (according to my prof calc) which isn't much of a problem imo. I think it's a pretty decent template. What do you think?

The template seems fine, but I can find just a few weaknesses (and all normal templates have weaknesses).
* Low Melee defense.
* Low Total Rifle Speed. You're Master Rifleman, and you have as much Rifle mods as you can get from any template. But you're a little low on the General Ranged Speed which adds to the Rifle Speed.
Your template is roughly the same in theme to my character's. Going for high proficiency in accuracy / ranged fighting.

Regarding the 2nd reply, personally I think the melee defense is fine for a ranged template, being only 25 less than the cookie cutter bh template (mbh/mr/4000cm). The speed I agree is a bit of a weakness, but I think one that is compensated for with the other stats.

its a nice temp
one prob, is u are "only" cl 79
i would get carbs 0440 and pistols 0104 instead - u get the great carb KD. and more def

hmm..pretty nice.
I'll think of going this myself, although 0004 cm sounds pretty decent as well for the paralyze.
however, i do like mbh and i don't want to give it up

Looks good to me. Id get some attachments to make up for a bit of the speed. Maby grab some mele and rifle def attachments as well.

You have annoyed me to no end with this.
I'm actually thinking about doing one of two things, dropping all of MCarbs and working my way up rifles and then doing something as a final respec for the toon. I've worked a little bit on the calc. and what I've come up with though I cannot use, putting Squad Leader in there would give me all but the last 4 boxes of SL, so I have to rearrage it since, I want to keep Master Squad Leader like you want to keep MRifles. I still have more work to do, but I will keep checking up on this thread to see what other information I can get out of it.

Hmm aye, that would be a tough one, SL being hybrid and all.. I've just had a quick go myself and best I could come up with was

0010 Medic
This has mediocre offense, mediocre heals and good defenses and is CL80. Not that great really but best I could see in 5 mins.
Now I'm going to sleep.. yup, definatley not going to try to fiddle with a template at 3:30am, no sir. Sleep..

I understand the 5 minute thing. LOL,I've been working on it since I read the post. lol Currently I'm MSL/MCarbs/MMarks/Scout 4014. Now it doesn't break me over 200, but without sacrificing GRA, GRS, MD and RD, it's not to bad. From what I can tell, it's
+160 General Ranged Acc.
+50 General Ranged Spd.
+115 Melee Defense
+135 Ranged Defense
+65 Carb Acc
+40 Carb Def
+50 Carb Spd
Though I do have a couple things I could try. But currently with a few SEA's it could be very potent. But I'm not going to be satisfied until I am. lol
+160 General Ranged Acc.
+50 General Ranged Spd.
+115 Melee Defense
+135 Ranged Defense
+65 Carb Acc
+40 Carb Def
+50 Carb Spd

I'ts not the BH specials, if it were I'd switch right now...it's the BH'ing that I might get into again (i hear it's kinda good nowadays). If that gets boring then sure I'll use this for pvp
