No, we don't know...Owen asked the Devs and got the 'It will be implemented soon' response. In other words it either will or will not be implemented.

How do I obtain such an item as this? Wherefore does this quest begin? Please be telling me for none in the quest forum seem to have such knowledge

Ryyatt trail, first hut to your right. you get the quest from the same guy who gives you the exploration quest (the one where you find all the trail guides)

Phenix is absolutely correct, just another quick hint, the bulk of the critters that you have to hunt to achieve the goal of the quest are on the trail with one exception which, if i remember correctly, are the beetles at the top of the mydril caves in kwokir forest, not to sure if the camo kits work though.
good luck

It has been confirmed by SOE that the Kashyyykian camo kits don't work. There was a patch on TC stating that they were "fixed." It will be interesting to see when/if this fix goes live.

Oh man are you in for some pain.
I decided I finaly should go get this, so off to the Ryatt trail I go, mumbling that this should have come at the master ranger box like all the other ones...
I talk to the first guy on the right, I've got to kill about 10 of 3 diffrent critters. "Well, this shouldn't be so bad...", I thought foolishly.
"Well, lets see, first on the list is a venom stalker thingywhatsit, I remember seeing them in the Kolinar forest." So off I go, and kill the 10 of them that I need, no problem.
This is starting to sound like it won't be that bad.
"What's next on the list, hmm, Etty Moulf, I'm guessing they'd be in the Etty hunting grounds..."
I was right, they were there, but little did I know the horror that awaited me....
*dramatic pause*
I next headed over to Etty, only to find that they wouldn't let me in. Turns out, you need to do a quest to get to another part of the map on that stinking walled maze they call a planet.
I won't go into the PITA that is the Etty quest, it's not that hard, but involves wandering all over Kachino, and even a space quest. (Frankly, I'd have been happier if it was a space quest... except for the escort mission part....)
So, I finaly get access to the hunting grounds, and right off the bat spend at lest 15 - 30 min trying to find the exit to that stupid camp. If I ever see a Rodian archatect (sp) I'll kill him on sight.
At that point, I'd had enough, so I logged for the night. Oh, I'd also read that the quest won't complete if you log off before finishing it, but I didn't care, If I didn't get out of that place soon, I was afraid I'd go on a wookie killing spree or something...
*THE NEXT DAY*
After some rest, I decided I'd wander around Etty and try to find those moulfs. You might want to note that they are off to the far right on the map as you enter the hunting grounds. I happened to pick that direction at random, so Ooga, my trusty varactly, and I headed off and finished off the moulfs. Easy enogh, they arrgo, but are only level 45 or so.
After that, I wandered all over the entire hunting grounds looking for the mystingers (or whatever they're called. The last critter I needed to get that cammo kit. I'm beggining to think it's not worth the effort, especilly as it's reportedly bugged, but may be fixed (or possibly not...) in pub 24.)
Well, mystingers are not in Etty. Unless they're in the glade in the middle of the hunting grounds... oh, you can't get into that without doing another quest by the way....
And that's where I'm at now. I logged out after that, couldn't take anymore of that place...
So, now I'm looking for mystingers. If someone could point me in their direction, I'd be most grateful. (they're in that stupid glade aren't they?)
Total in-game time I've put into trying to get one cammo kit so far: 8 hours, and I'm still not done.
As a note, this time could be less, if you've already got access to Etty, it should go faster, and I've had to hunt down all those animals. The only thing I could find in the fourms was the "Talk to the first guy on the right on the Ryatt trail" part.

The Mouf's are on the 2nd level of the Ryatt Trail. There is no need to go to the Etyy Camp. They are rather easy to kill off. The mystingers are on on level 3. Just a little more powerful, and seem to aggro a bit.Not sure about the beetles yet. I just made it to level 4 of Ryatt Trail, and i haven't seen them as of yet.

If you're into PvP then you won't like Kashyyyk. If there are times where your guild is offline and you're left to your own devices, then Kashyyyk is a great place to spend some time running some really fun quests, and get some really cool rewards. The hunting grounds quests have some really neat things that are particularly challenging, and by far one of the hardest to get and most expensive reward items in the game, the Chiss Backpack. This is one of the most interesting and challenging half hours you will spend in the game.
My sympathies to the guy who couldn't get around the hunting grounds. My advice is to try using the planetary map, it's very detailed and you can zoom in and use that to get around the camp if you're lost.
And you will not find the beetles on the Ryatt Trail or in the Hunting Grounds. They are found through the Khowir Forest at the very start of the Myydril Caverns, which is one of the biggest underground areas in the game. There is a lot to explore and a lot to do on Kashyyyk, if you're not taking advantage of it you're missing out on some very challenging and high end content in the game.

Not to steal the thread or anything, but what's so good about the Chiss Backpack?
