Thread: Minor Details on BH v MP
My guess is this is a lot better than MP just because of the sillyness if it weren't, but I suppose I wanted to be extra careful and sure before I go get rid of that annoying respec window with a decision.
OK, just made a master ranger/master BHthe combat mods are as follows:
- GRA: +85
- GRS: +40
- MD: +105
- RD: +130
Note: This leaves you with 18 points to spend in novice marksman mods or even squad leader for great bonuses to the stats detailed above. Also duelist stance will give you a massive defense bonus which does help a lot.

GRA: 95
GRS: 45
MD: 150
RD: 170
Although the accuracy is lower than my MP template, it seems as though that wouldn't matter as much with my higher powered weapons and greater defenses. Speed is also slower, but that doesn't seem to matter all that much given I can just get my weapons sliced. Plus some crispic will jump my accuracy 40 points with one amount, and if I can find some pyro, it'll jump 200 points. So accuracy is taken care of by food, defense is much higher than MP and your thoughts of duelist stance make me more comfortable with it.
I did find that (when def stacked) my accuracy was too low or my speed was low then I'd not do enough damage to the targets. The high defences saved my skin, but it was touch and go.
I went MBH because it leaves me with some SP to use for FS. My offense is lower than my defense, but both of my defensive stats with a pistol are in the mid to upper 100s, I think 150 and 175 (ranges, not number certain).
Some of that is due to FS. What sucks is the lack of a stopping shot (snare or root). The KD is nice, but is over way to quick and even with the dizzy from another special in effect, NPCs and creatures get right back up. Yes, that royally sucks.
What is nice is I get decent armor. I can use my specials on any ranged weapons, and get some bennies in rifle and carbine also.
What is going to happen soon is that Master Ranger and camping go away, I will pick up as much Pistoleer as I can (TN may go also but I am keeping traps and areatrack) and max out FS and do that for a bit.
good luck whichever you decide.

Well Now I can Die I have seen it all JB went BH. After all the times saying he would never lower himself. So does this mean your 12 yrs old now too?
As to the Post the Duelist is a Nice one. I get 250 Def. If I forget to run it I can tell. Not much help but I never was a Numbers cruncher.

Thanks for all the replies. I figured MBH is bound to be better than MP at this time, so I /respeced and no longer have to see that window again. I've got less specials, it appears, but I'll figure out how good they are after playing around with it tonight.
Theres a handy little macro on the BH boards to use with duelist. I know I know macros for Ranger "BAD" but to be honest this ones good.

There is some defensive bonus, but I've yet to notice too much of it. If anything hunting one on one targets is probably the only reason it seems easier, though the damage output is certainly higher than it was with pistols. Probably'll try out a player jedi or two just to see how it works, though I'm certainly enjoying the tracking involved. Not sure about duelist stance's ability to defend better as of yet, but I'll probably get more detail on that later.
