Well the devs have to actually have an idea of where we're going before they can give us an "in concept thread". Personally, I don't think that they have any idea whatsoever what's going on with us. I'd list all the evidence that I see just from elements on TC-5, but it's too depressing, really.

Ya it seems every one is hip to it but us. Thanks for the thread.
CL level changing XP is no big deal, we have that in live. As a master Elite if I kill a nuna I get 1 weapon XP and no combat XP. But if I switch to a Novice Prof I get much more. Not in the CU.
CL level changing damage done to me when I am already stronger or weaker than that creature... why?
No one with any authority has every said that we are not a combat class. Remember we don't need to convince the other players that we are, we just need the Devs to do what needs to be done.
I firmly belive it is time to freak out. That is if that first Box dosn't up my CL.

Yep, noticed this a couple of hours ago!!
It can go 2 ways I think -
1. Its the last nail in the coffin of ranger as a profession, no, I say, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
or
2. Its the final bit of patch breakage done to our beloved profession that forces the devs to address our concerns, maybe even, dare I say it, fix, Ranger!
As an aside, just read a thing there about some other mmorpg were a load of people whos profession wasnt working all got second accounts and the same race (or whatever) and had a nudey sit in causing serious lag! Im getting serious revolutionary ides here!

moved it here. It's really whiny and unconstructive. And that was after I tried to lighten it a bit.

Just to look at this from a different angle; it is certainly true this inbalance will make leveling up harder. However, consider this, as long as I've understood it correctly, once we get our characters to a fairly high level, it will make solo'ing more viable. I guess it depends on how being Master Ranger (plus master combat)contributes to our character level versus a double combat master.

It doesn't at all.
CL is what causes the health increase. We aren't on the list of professions receiving a health increase, thus no CL increase either as we level Ranger.

Unless it's fixed, we do get cl and thus health?
Or am I way too optimistic now?

I recommended a course of action, indirectly.
I am currently boycotting all beta testing, after doing nothing as an alpha tester except read. I mean, my two primary professions are not included, so screw it.
I am also currently stockpiling meats and hides. After the CU and what I expect to be the Ranger/Scout exodus, the prices on even grind grade stuff should skyrocket. I log on, take two missions, do them, and hunt on the walk home. I figure by May I will have a couple of very large stacks to go along with my usual stash of stuff. Then I will let the bidding wars commence.
Y'all saw where AS needs more hides, and we are getting gimped... money in the bank. Fact is, staying Ranger even though severly handicapped by the lack of health will be very profitable.

Hehe I've set my droid to harvest hide.
And only that...
Any creature killed will get skinned...
From now until CU.
Won't take any orders.

Stopped by Live to check my vendors and empty my harvester.
Sat in the house trying to get the enthusiasm up to go hunt, or even just go get a buff, suit up and kill PC's for loot, but nah, I got nothing.
I know that focused testing will ALWAYS have a skew towards the areas the Dev's want tested and I can usually handle the chopping and changing between say mad creature levels to easy kills and huge XP then back to insane beasties again as the Dev team try to 'herd' people in a particular direction. But this time out, so much of whats happening seems geared to steering people away from any sensible Scout/ranger testing that I wonder what the heck is going on.
The damage modifiers have pretty much finished me off for the time being. Recent (pre-CU) experiences with the Dev's and Testing hasn't filled me with a great deal of confidence, and the sheer lack of any feedback re the entire Scout/Ranger line is just rubbing salt in the wounds.
Now, I know I always get burnt out by periods of intense testing, and I get moody and p'd off and frustrated, but am really not seeing enough +ves to stack up against the -ves.
Reckon I'm giving up testing for now. Well, no chance of getting in for days and, from Tigg's comment for narrowband users is anything to go by, I'll not be pre-ordering RotW, so no new content for me in test, just more mindless grinding.

Yeah my mistake, I was getting confused with creature level

Hehe... we are creatures! You're called a wookiee, I'm called a human
So _we_ have a CL too
