I'm starting to think that we are a sinking ship that isn't gonna see the light of day if we don't get some love asap.


It's embarassing. If I even think of why they would do this to us, then I start to get headaches and have to go lie down for a bit. Yesterday, after 2 months of posting, chatting, ticketing and screwing around with my computer, I finally got a response from Tech support representative Chad, and that was after I renamed my thread "The Issue That Tech Support Dare Not Touch." He apoligized for not getting to my issue, and said that he would give me a full refund for the days upon days that I was unable to play due to the 450 crashes to the desktop that they had continued to ignore.


I foresee LucasArst taking away this game from Sony, and making it work themselves. In the very near future.


I will also be stockpiling resources, and I have not taken any orders so far. I will not be selling any of my supplies for less than 100 cpu, because so far I have been ignored by my guild for being a crafter for myself only. The only thing that I can help anyone in my guild with is Tracking, and maybe camouflage, but that's it.


So, in the end, we are tools. Tools, I say! I don't like being used. It's time to revolt.

My evil coder spiritl tells me to let it crash and burn... then 2 things can happen:


1. we will be heard and listened to (note: being listened to and being heard are 2 distinctive abilities)


2. we will be completely ignored and replaced by farms, new types of harvesters or anyone gets the abilitiy to harvest for free...


I'm not going to speculate which option it would be...

I'm having the same problem. I've gone from cautiousouly optimimistic, to increasingly disappointed and having a hard time even wanting to log into liveand play because it is starting to appear to be a waste of time.


As Almagill mentioned, what you see in test isn't a good representation of what's going live due to the devs messing around with creature levels but it does appear that they are wanting to force grouping. It's kind of funny since apparently the devs in EQ2 have received the opposite feedback and have opened up a great deal of soloing and just in the last patch made most of the creatures in Antonica soloable. I guess if the devs in SWG don't talk to each other, why would they talk to other SOE gaming teams??


When I read the post, Smugglers in SWG History - as written by the Devs, most of which I recall happening (I was a 0400 Smuggler for a while), it caused me to further question the long term viability of SWG because it seems that the devs will knowingly lie to the playerbase to keep them around. I was burned by pre-ordering JtL because I wanted to get the vehicle which turned out to be a disappointment. I can only guess that the RoTW mount that you get which they say is the "fastest mountin the game' which means it the fastest of the slowest modes of transportation so basicially it's worthless.


SOE also pulled this same sort if "innovative" crap in Planetside. It's pretty much a rock/paper/scissors kind of game and wasfairly well balanced and for a long time, you could nightly find at least 3 planets pop-locked. Well, they had this great idea for BFR (Battle Frame Robots) which, quite frankly, didn't fit in with the theme of the game and it totally unbalanced it. A LOT of people left as a result of that and the dev that came up with the idea left just prior to the release of that upgrade, kind of like what happened recently here in SWG with the two devs quietly leaving just prior to the combat upgrade. Well, now you're lucky to find even 1 planet pop-locked and that's after the server collapse. Go figure.

If our Ranger Boxes don't count as combat the Health bonus will be the least or our worries.

The bad news

We need someone to get a box of ranger so that this is not speculation.

But if that box dosn't increase your CL...

And if you need any thing else to fire you up here is the in concept forum. I see smuggler, I see Squad Leader. I don't see Ranger.

Its time for the Devs to put up or shut up.

Owen will need to stay calm and reasonable. The rest of us... well I know what I want to say. How about we let JB recommend a course of action.

I know we at least need to clearly state our problem to the other profs that depend on us.

the CL issue is pretty well known... you can post your thoughts on it here (that seems to be the most popular thread for it - with some of the best ideas)


as for why ranger doesn't have an in concept thread... damn... why didn't i notice that?... how do we get one of those started?
