Thread: Indefinite Absence

To those who may be wondering:

I have recently been absent from SWG due to (A) the Xistmas holidays; (B) some difficulty upgrading Windows98 to WindowsXP; and (C) moving to a new place across town. This is why I haven't been around, updating resources for the Tempest Resource Co-op, etc.

Sadly, my absence from SWG has been extended indefinitely. In the process of moving, there was an accident involving my computer, a fast-moving dog, and a hard linoleum surface. The result of this accident is that my computer is b0rken in a major way.

At the very least, my hard drive had a head crash, which means those 30 gigs of games, porn, and illegally copied music VERY IMPORTANT, MISSION CRITICAL DATA are toast, and the drive itself is a paperweight.

At worst, it's something that will prevent me from booting the computer even with the addition of a new hard drive.

If it's something that can be fixed with the addition of a new hard drive, you may see me sooner rather than later. If it's something more serious, I'm pretty much screwed until I get a new computer. I WAS going to get an Alienware system for Xistmas, but thanks to the finanical scrambling we've had to do to get moved, it will be at least 2 months before I get it.

Either way, I'll keep you posted.

"which means those 30 gigs"

I feel for ya... I have 280 gigs of "Mission Critical Data" on my machine.

I would be severely depressed if I were to lose it in some misfortune.

Man that sucks bad, I hope your able to come back to the community quickly. Your sagely wisdom is needed and will be missed.(Is "sagely" are word or did I just make that up?)

Anyway always remember, back up your porn. It's always a pain in the arse losing a lifelong collection.

-Hope to see you back soon.

Sage advise...Isn't that something Chef's would use?

E.g., I would not use Thyme in that Breath of Heaven. I would use Sage.

Never use sage in BOH, always use Unknown Radioactive Six.
