Thread: Ok I am getting reallt freagin upset now!!!!!!!
Reported for what? Using a skill in our profession that finally freaking works?
Can they ban you? Better get in line in back of me and about every other Ranger I know.
As to Krayts, oh well, score is well over 100 now. And I have maybe 15 pearls. And I have over 100 crystals.
Let them "report" you. They are just jealous.
Odds have it they are Jebay wannabes anyhow.

I was actually afraid this would happen. Since because of a bug we are able to take the dragons solo....so what happens we get reported because it is the only that that we have. We dont have a weapon of our own....our camps are just for show really....forage is a useless skill unless you just like fishing......most of the traps that we have are broke.....against NPC or PVP we are bantha doo-doo because we have no skills that will help us.....our camo kits camo us about as good as a neon pink tutu against a black wall.
Sour grapes causes whining....don't people understand that grapes are for WINE...not WHINE. I am waiting for someone to try to murk a dragon that we work on. I would just break LoS and make sure they got the argo. You want the dragon..then take him. Live or Die...I win.
JB. You know as well as I do that using a known bug to your benefit can at any time be deemed by SOE as an exploit. The Phecnacine dart does not work as intended and its use for the express purpose of achieving a perma root is exploiting a known bug. We run the risk of being reported everytime we use one. Its no diferent then when people used to repeatedly summon their ATST to get multiples for free even above and beyond the 3 ATST limit back when that was the legal limit. No diferent than the Smugglers how used a bug to multi slice.

the thing that gets me is that when they do actually fix our traps.....and we still do what we do now......what will people say then??? What will be the source of their (protests)......nothing but jealousy....plain and simple. I would like to know if ANYONE gets banned for using our only thing left???? I for one would fight beside you till the end....of me...or SOE.

While everything you said is true, what exactly is the alternative? With adhesive mesh broken and p-darts being an exploit, we have been left without our two strongest tactical assets. I'm sorry, but if it comes between choosing to enjoy the game by making the best of its inherent flaws or waiting for the devs to create an environment in which I can "legally" play, I'll go with the former.
I, for one, am looking forward to the upcoming fixes in Publish 20. Having a working adhesive mesh and p-dart should be a lot of fun.Until then borked p-darts are what I've got, so as with every poor hand delt to the rangers by the devs, I'm making the best of it.

The problem is that until we can get an official statement we are all at risk anytime we use a Pdart, land a perma root, and get identified by a passerby. The ingame CSR (whatever they are called these days) has many options that can be applied to us in a non-uniform manner. One day you may receive nothing and then on another day wham you have been banned, It can and has happened to other professions and players in the past.
**When smugglers were able to multi sloce it took SOE a very long time to fix it and many smugglers were banned in the mean time. To say that SOE taking their time to patch something prevents them from deciding it is an exploit is dangerously wrong
