I was wondering if there is a known issue regarding a camp's ability to "repel aggressive creatures." The reason I say this is because almost every time I have setup camp near an aggresive creature, the creature almost always attacks me while in camp anyway.
Now, I'm a Master Ranger using High Tech Field bases and level 18 Huurton's are coming into my camp to attack me. I'm not trying to complain, but without even the repel feature working properly, camps are fast becoming simply "a nice place to sit."
Also, do any of you know if a spatial comment is made when a creature is supposedly repelled? Would be nice to really know that the camp is working. Or perhaps the note might be included in the Camp Status report similar to when a visitor comes to camp?
AgainI could see a Rancor breaking the repel of a High Quality Camp but a level 18 creature breaking a HTFB setup up by a Master? Can anyone tell me whether this is a known "broken" feature?
Thank you.

it's been on our bug list since last year.
but honestly, you HTFB can't even repel RAIN, so what do you expect?

Never had anything attacking me, but probably just because my mask scent is always on.. Though High Tech Field base heals wounds, so it is not completely useless.
Have a good day. What doesn't kill us makes us suffer.

Back around the publish 6 timeframe there was a dev sponsered hunt (to track down a armor bug) on test center. Thunderheart was there among the devs and we were in a High Tech Field Base on Dantooine and of course a huurton agro'd, TH said "I thought the camps were supposed to repel agro's". I told him fromlaunch to this day no campstopped even a kreedle from a agro. He then stated that this "will be fixed inpublish 7". It's just another thing that has been delayed

I found ot the hard/funny way, while krayt hunting I put up a HTFB and all the hunter gathered around 40+, most where rez'd and waiting for rebuff and other just wanting to rebuff/heal wounds then a krayt appeared and ran rampant through the camp losts of people died
I got some screenies so I will always remember lol

Haha almost fell off my chair. Yeah our roofs arnt exactly waterproof
Im sure i saw in a set of update notes that the devs fixed the problems with either our camps or the ID tents letting in rain. I only wish that if it is the ID tent fixes it can be ported over to our camps easily. I dont mind pitching camp in the rain and taking in the views but it realy does make it awefully dull when im also getting soaked in the super-duper-godness tent

Has anyone seen Starship Troopers 2?
Those that have will probly agree with me that we should have THOSE electric fenses. They look sort like ours but what they do the creatures (bugs) who attempt to cross is truly a sight to witness.
So apart from our cool electric fense that is very cool or atleast has the POTENTIAL to be cool, we have that chess table that would realy make an interesting feature, id also like to be able to go inside those concrete bio domes. Id love there to be a tanning station or something in there where we could 'buff' our hides

I was hunting Kimos the other day with a few guild members, and when our mind buffs ran out, I dropped a HTFB and the master dancer began to give us a primary mind buff. About that time a Kimo spawned and wanted a snack. Luckly the dancer didnt get aggro'd, wearing that leotard she wouldn't have lasted long. I'd like to see camps either repel aggros or not disband in combat. I think having both would led to exploits.

You know, I think camps do repel agressive creatures, but just not high level ones.
Last night in the Great Endor Hunt (tm) I was the only ranger in a party of n00bs I was trying to keep alive (I was the only one buffed with armour!). I put up my camp (first level ranger camp, Improved camp I believe), and while there were some dangerous critters around us, and I was the only one masked, we werent attacked. We even had a Hilltop Gurreck Hunter come INTO the camp, but it didnt attack anyone.
This brought me to the conclusion that while camps dont "repel" creatures in the dictionary sense of the word, they may prevent the creature from attacking its occupants.
Of course all this camping was ruined when someone let off a blaster at the creature and I had to disband the camp to save ma n00bs. Nothing like a noob going out to explore, then 2 seconds later running back to camp screaming to kill the spiders chasing him.
