Thread: Harvesting droids. Are they worthless for ranger?

Are harvesting droids useful for ranger? I ama master ranger, and I just bought a new harvesting droid. It has a +107 harvesting rating, but it harvests less than 50% of what i can do by myself. Is it supposed to be this way or is this a bug? Did I just waste 65k?

This should only be happening when you are in a group (with other players). The droids still see the old 40% penalty while in a group with others. If you use it solo you should still get a small increase in harvest as long as its rating is above 80 or so I think. This was duicussed when the new harvest bonuses were brought in but it seems to have been forgotten about since then

My droid is going rusty in my datapad.Here are my findings, I'm level 0/0/04 currently.
Using Normal banthas that are equal to my level.
No Veghash, droid grouped, but not harvesting (I harvested)=198 units
No Veghash, droid grouped and droid harvested=225 units
Veghash, droid grouped, but not harvesting I harvested)=238 units
Veghash, dorid grouped and droid harvested=257 units
Droid is a 115 model and Veghash is +31%.
