Thread: What do you do with your resources.

I spend time hunting creatures with highQ resources 850+ and stay in the area untill the numbers change.

Lately I've been saving those stacks for when the demand is high. I've run out of cool stuff to buy.

Scraps I sell on the bazzars.

A) Sell them on a vendor/Bazaar

B) Sell them in person (to guild mates of others)/Contract work

C) Trade them for perks (free buffs, armor)

D) Give them away.

E) A mixture.

I have finally started mixing whatI do with my harvests. I mostly hunt for folks in my guild. I recieve free goods in general (at least the ones that apply to me..i.e. I don't get free weapons, butI do ge tfree buffs). Lately I have been dropping the resources that my guild doesn't need, on the bazaar. I sell for a ridiculously low price (1-2 cpu regardless of stats). Thte catch is, I usually only have small stacks, so I am by no means flooding the market. I just don't have it in me to harevst large quantities all day, I like a little adventure (how was THAT for going off on a tangent?). I figure that a majority of you sell your harvest outright, but i could be wrong .

As of since I got master ranger mostly..........B Contract work. Via RoB. Now doing personal contracts for guild and others.

Also, on occasion, especially on large PvP events I will trade good resources for buffs. Usually the docs at PvP events do it for free, but I give them about 1k units of good meat. They like it.

For traps and camps, I just keep a large stack of meat, hide and bone. Then buy a stack of cheap metal and poly off of bazaar.

A)

I give any and all resources I come up with to my guild, which takes care of all of my other needs, i.e., food (brandy, veghash, canape), buffs, armor, clothes, some loot when someone else can't use it, except for weapons (we're currently short a weaponsmith, otherwise I'd get that for free, too). My only expenses that come out of pocket are travel and the maintenance on my house. We really have done a pretty good job at implementing socialist/utopian commune, now that I think about it.

D) Give them away.

I'm too lazy to actually go out of my way to sell the stuff and I'm rich enough not to need to bother. My harvests are usually made of whatever happens to look ready to die. I rarely go out of my way to collect resources (only if a friend asks me nicely), especially now that I can't kill much on my own. I harvest whatever creatures I kill but I usually don't go out of my way to harvest anything in particular.

If its extremely good stuff I try andharvest at least 10k of it and save it in my house for a rainy day. The rest I sell on the bazaar in 1000 unit chunks. Meat/hide - medium/high quality = 4-5cpu. I don't touch bone unless I need some for traps/camps. If it doesn't sell I lower it by 1cpu and resell it on the bazaar until it sells. I don't sell until the resource has shifted, that's when the demand seems to be highest.

I tried using a vendor but it didn't work out. Some yahoo would always come by and totally buy me out, then I would have an empty vendor for a couple of weeks until I could harvest enough stuff to have it stocked well again.

Grind stuff - to the bazaar, unless it's a stack over 5k - then I find a grinder

Good stuff - offer to guildies first, then open market sales

I do still give stuff to guildies or townies. I get free stuff here and there. Like clothes, buffs, stims, some foods, and rarely, a weapon.

Inorganics - right to the bazaar - amazing how much wind stacks up. And steel, copper, iron, fiber, poly.... even at 4 cpu, I make a killing.

B) Contract work. I only harvest when I have a buyer or when I need it myself.

I used to do exclusively A), but I recently started using the SWGcraft website to find good avian meat. The last spawn of Yavin avian meat on my serverwas pretty good and I sold on the trade forum (option B) for 80cpu. The current Yavin avian meat is even a little better so I've been exclusively harvesting it. If you want to make a good amount of money do research on SWGcraft to find where the good reasourses are and go and get it. In addition, I've started to use vegash (+32% harvest) when hunting the good resourses.

It depends on the resource for me. Meats I sell to doctors or put it on the bazaar. Hides and bones are being used to make camps but once frontiering is finished I will go exclusively hunting for meat. There is a weakly doctor post on my server's boards which gives locations of good resource spawns.
