It is actually fairly useful on the Corvette Rescue mission. It's the easiest way to get someone out of combat to talk to the prisoneer. Talk about taking one for the team!

It is actually fairly useful on the Corvette Rescue mission. It's the easiest way to get someone out of combat to talk to the prisoneer. Talk about taking one for the team!

last time i did a vette mission, which was like a month or so ago, myself and another Ranger made it to the prisoners. (Rangers for teh win!!!) We were both stuck on aggro by something, and i asked the other Ranger to rescue me, and i could complete the objective. he had never used recue before, and didn't know what it did, and at the time i ddin't even have the rescue skill box. he successfully rescued me, i talked ot the prisoners, then we took a one-way trip to the cloning room so we could get outta there as fast as possible.

long story short, Our group completed it's objective due to 2 Rangers.

so take that all your defense stackers and Jedi!!!

Albeit not the most used skill by any stretch of the matter, I do find it has its uses. I use it whenever I'm helping a noob player get some skills. Or, if my chef friend is getting aggroed while he tries to place some harvies. Not that this makes me the saviour of the world or anything, but I just wanted to throw it out there that if rescue left the game, I would notice it.
