Master Doctor!

After magically enhancing you stats over 4 times , rangers can forage....Onions and shuley nef..

Tracking is the only usefull skill line. The other skill trees are worthless. Yes sure concealment is ok, but the effectiveness is not worthy of a master elite profession. Traps are a joke, and camps look cool but are worthless.

And this forum is not helping...some of you have rolled over and took it..."I dont pvp .....I want to harvest more...."!

So while the docile sheep on this forum want twirly moves and other fripery... I dont want myself to be considered any where near a well crafted harvestor.I want to be a Ranger! I want to dominated in the wilderness, I want power because I have spent alot of skill points on this profession. I dont want to crawl faster, I want to run faster. I dont want to pvp all the time but if you anger me in the wilderness I will catch you and make you fear the Ranger in pvp.

For the points we spend people should say , oh **edit** they have a Ranger! In pvp.

In pve we should hands down be able to engage and defeat all but the most legendary creatures!

For all of the people here, we have been patient and tried to offer suggestions, but the developers have not listened... We should be very angry about this!

I was once a Master Ranger but some how creature mounts were pushed ahead of me! So now I just track

hmmmmm

so my options are:

  • Beat my fists furiously into the wind yelling and screaming that Rangers dont even come close to their potential, being angry and yelling at my fellow Rangers who have apparently "Rolled over and took it"? Vociferously demanding that the devs should drop Jump to Lightspeed and the Combat Balance so that they can address your myopic view.

    or

  • Understand that this is a complex game with a lot of variables, priorities and issues, so I can contribute to the process through our amazing correspondent, and have fun being a ranger in a video game.

    I choose the latter.

Nice try, i still smile and have fun.

(And for the record, I have never "rolled over and took it"

OK here we go. Another attempt to take us to the promise land. One to lead us; the "docile sheep". He will change the course of Ranger. Forget the correspondents that have come before him. He will be the new leader to tell the Devs what should be done and what can be done.

Our proposals mean nothing, especially when we just "rolled over and took it". The brainstorming, countless topics and written suggestions are no good when you are a "sheep".

LEAD US, oh Easy-Exanip, one who use to be a Ranger, but now only tracks. Get in line with everyone else that came here thinking that he could change the course of our profession with banter , better yet "roll over and take it", because it ain't gonna happen.

I am a Ranger. Been one forever, at least here.

I agree, we should be bad azz killing machines in PvP - WHERE IT CONCERNS PETS. (capitals are mine)

We are the antithesis of the CHs. We should be the class keeps them in check in PvP. MCH whips out a mauler, I should be able to trap the living snot out of it. In a better set of circumstances - I should be able to DB it. Yes, I said it, so start whining CHs. Rangers should be able to DB pets in combat, at least creature pets. Dead, no rezz, no clone. Dead, roadkill. But then again, I think that droids should be able to be destroyed too. At least I am evil across the board.

However - last I looked, we are combat support. I suppose it is technically possible to master with out a combat profession, tho it would just suck to try. Any and all combat abilities we get, other than to hit/damage bonuses concerning pets, come from our chosen combat profession. As it should be.

Pure plain and simple, we are creature killers, not people killers. You wanna kill people, ride the short bus...uh... go be a BH.

    Mai disagrees...

Mai recently worked on ranger... Mai likes it very much. Not much of a gamer and know nothing of pvp kind of girl. Mai disapgrees with JBMat said...

Sure we are support and we are creatures killers. BUT game should have some sorts of balancing when it comes to PVP. If JB said we are creatures killers and not people killers then perhaps we all should go BH since they are more of a people killers... NOT.

Mai agrees largely with the thread owner... Rangers are the GODS and GODDESSES of wildness.

Our traps stinks - (kind of fun and Mai loves it... Mai is a melee so Mai uses them to bring creatures to Mai without running too close up to the pack.)

Tracking - (Mai still a scout so mai have nothing to say to that yet)

Camping - (Mai looking forward to the camp - Mai heard some where that someone mentioned about access fee for camp entrance.. Mai thinks that is a wonderful idea. With that, someone can set up sort of a resting place for all players with dancer and musician inside to help buff the mind and perhaps a good doctor(Mai) to buff people as well....

    What else?

Mai still a newbie so these are Mai's two credits(cents) err ^_^

Either you like Ranger or you dont. Seems like some of the complainers should rethink their career path.

I've recently taken up ranger on my alt character. I must say, despite what i've read here i am really enjoying the proffession !!

Camps are definately not useless. We use them quite a lot in pvp, both when attacking and when defending. They are a mobile buffing / healing point - extremely usefull if your trying to attack a well defended base !

Traps - Ok so they are not great but they definately have a use. Area stuns being particulary usefull

Foraging - ./cough ok pretty useless

Tracking - Excellent ! I wouldnt have looted BH armour, found krayts etc etc withouth this ! Also very good in pvp, well for me anyway..... If anyone is on chimaera and has heard about liberty then im sure u can see the uses for tracking opposing faction players.

All this and im not even a master yet !

PS can anyone tell me the range of areatrack at master ranger ?

Your choice is maturity or whining like a baby. I choose maturity.

    however...
I understand the sentament and no one here argues that Ranger needs work.
