We are the antithesis of the CHs. We should be the class keeps them in check in PvP. MCH whips out a mauler, I should be able to trap the living snot out of it. In a better set of circumstances - I should be able to DB it. Yes, I said it, so start whining CHs. Rangers should be able to DB pets in combat, at least creature pets. Dead, no rezz, no clone. Dead, roadkill. But then again, I think that droids should be able to be destroyed too. At least I am evil across the board.

However - last I looked, we are combat support. I suppose it is technically possible to master with out a combat profession, tho it would just suck to try. Any and all combat abilities we get, other than to hit/damage bonuses concerning pets, come from our chosen combat profession. As it should be.

Pure plain and simple, we are creature killers, not people killers. You wanna kill people, ride the short bus...uh... go be a BH.

Where exactly does it say Rangers = combat support. Never mind, look at any other true combat support professions. CH in PvP, damn haven't seen that in months. Back to the combat support point of view, how exactly does ranger support any combat abilities...? track ummm no, camps hmmm HA!, traps hmmmm. What ranger abilities enhance any profession? And relate them to other combat support professions...

I mean no disrespect to any ranger, but GM's comments at FF just suck and confirm that I will never be able to play as my chosen profession in this game. SWG endgame = PvP/GCW = People Killers plain and simple.....By the devs statement rangers are not intended to participate in the GCW and that just sucks and is a complete waste of profession with possible the most potential in the game...flushed down the toilet relegated to "intended for PvE" or "the ultimate creature Hunter".. or whatever BS they decide to throw at us.....

how is being the PvP CH killer gonna bring a ranger anywhere close to being in line with the other combat support professions like, CM, or Doctor. And why are out *cough*abilities*cough* restricted to creatures, and CM can drop his nuke on a Krayt, just and easily and a player.....

either way this is pointless due to lack of imagination Ranger = mobile organics harvester, period..

what a freagin waste....makes me sick....

Like i said before, according to GM's comments at FF, Ranger is slated to become mobile organics harvestor, and that is it....

I am a ranger, this was my first elite profession and i will always keep it. I have a lot of fun being ranger and i still have enough skillpoints free to hava a good combat profession, so i do well in PvP. I agree that Ranger needs a little work, but i dont see it has anything to do with PvP.

so spending 140 skill point to be able to harvest 30% more than some who spent 14 skill points is reasonable......

I have to agree with JBMat. Rangers are usually soloists and in the wilderness most of the time. We should be able to track human players, but the killing is reserved to the BH's. Otherwise what are they for? If you want to be a mad killer of people pick a profession that does that, Commando or BH is probably right for you. I agree with JuJu in the sense that people should fear us. Fear that we can sneak up on you, fear that we can get away from you easily, fear that we can DB your rancor , fear that we can out harvest everyone. But most importanly I think the Ranger should be respected. We may not be able to deliver the most damage in the galaxy, but we WILL get the job done. Ranger is more about the tactics used then just brute force. A carefully placed sniper shot to kill the victim in there tracks. In PVP we are support, and if you have ever seen the movie Navy Seals then you know what I am talking about. In the rear with the gun! SUPPORTING the ground forces.

Sure we are support and we are creatures killers. BUT game should have some sorts of balancing when it comes to PVP. If JB said we are creatures killers and not people killers then perhaps we all should go BH since they are more of a people killers... NOT.

Mai agrees largely with the thread owner... Rangers are the GODS and GODDESSES of wildness.

Our traps stinks - (kind of fun and Mai loves it... Mai is a melee so Mai uses them to bring creatures to Mai without running too close up to the pack.)

Tracking - (Mai still a scout so mai have nothing to say to that yet)

Camping - (Mai looking forward to the camp - Mai heard some where that someone mentioned about access fee for camp entrance.. Mai thinks that is a wonderful idea. With that, someone can set up sort of a resting place for all players with dancer and musician inside to help buff the mind and perhaps a good doctor(Mai) to buff people as well....

What else?

Mai still a newbie so these are Mai's two credits(cents) err ^_^
