I cant remember the last time I saw a Dev post on this board or in responce (besided the 'fantastic' 19 questions) to any of our issues. So Devs, I challenge you to post on this board and tell me (and my fellow Rangers)why I should not drop Ranger when I get home from work tonight. We are waiting.

Yes, TH has popped in from time to time to answer questions. He's a busy guy and he(and all of us) know we are way on the back burner. So, coming here just stirs up trouble.
Speaking of 19 questions? Werent we due for 19 answers this past week? Did I miss something?

Do all the Devs read this board? Doubtful
Do SOME Devs read this board? Most certainly
Does a Dev not posting mean he doesn't read this board? Nope
Do we want fluff posts, or substance? I prefer substance
Are we setup for 'substance' that requires the Devs to post (and not be fluff)? Not that I know of

Agree with your first 5 points. But I don't fully understand your last one. How I read it, is that we are not ready/needto get feedback from devs at this point. We are not prepared out selves to give them info they need to start working on/responding to us.
If that is what you are saying, then I 100% disagree. Out of most all the professions in real need of a revamp and some tweaking, we have more player ideas, and thoughts, and changes, and development of our profession then the others. We just need a dev to come in and say "OK I have looked at some of your bigger ideas. Lets start talking revamp....."

yeah if we got a revamp thread started by a dev. You wouldnt see millions of 'oh yeah that would be cool' posts or 'i hope we can have this posts'.
You would see structured and very informative and well thought out ideas from all of us. You may not get the 16 pages like the smuggler however what you would get would be 5/6 pages of in depth ideas focusing on points we all agree on.

I think it should be pointed out that this might be a nice change for a dev, like Greenmarine.

Really? and how are we not "setup" to have a meaningful discussion with Devs? Because we are so low on the "priority list"? Well last I checked that wasn't our fault, we don't decide that, so what other possible reason could there be?
and how are the BH and smuggler forums more prepared that us?
(they are recieving dev feedback...maybe not a lot but more than us that's for sure)
note: I'm not flaming or anything. If that is how you feel Calc that's fine, but it would be nice to give us something more concrete on why you think that, and how to correct any deficiency we have.

Time is running out Devs, but I digress.
Calc, I really cannot remember the last time we got a responce from a Dev on this board reguarding our issues. I dont care if they give us some BS answer or a detailed answer about why we do or donot deserve any changes, I just want acknowledgement from the Developers that they know that we are pissed and they are listening. If I hear another Dev say "Well you Rangers tell us what you want and we will think about it", Ill flip.

Maybe I should have said...Is there anyhting in the works that requires a 'substance' response?
For all of you who just want to se a redname post no matter what it is....
/in his best TH impression
Wait for the combat balance.
Is that kind of a response what people want a Dev to post in our forum? If so, I will have TH post that for you.
Yes Calc, please belittle us by "asking" TH to make a post in out fourms just to shut us up, thats just what we are looking for.
It sounds like that is whatRangers are asking for. I call them as I see them.

What we want is acknowledgement from that Devs that there are problems with our profession and that they are willing to address them. What we also want is for them to at least pop on this board at least once a month to see thats going on. Is that too much to ask? I guess it is.

I just had a sever episode of de ja vu
Last fall I was playing a DE, there was no revamp on the horizon, we hadn't seen a dev post in months, none of the droids did anything useful, and the ones that did anything at al ldidn't work right. morale was incredibly low.....
there was a lot more complaining and a few DEs hijacked threads in the "SWG DISCUSSION" thread (which is long gone now) as well as a bunch of others demanding the attention of the devs.... it was almost like aterrorist invasion... someone would post something and before long there was a big post about how DEs needed love and they weren't getting any and how star wars isn't star wars without droids etc.
Anyway, there were a lot of posts at the time begging for a dev to come in and at least post a message that said "hi" or anything at all they were so desperate for attention, and this post just got me remembering those days.... /shudder
Oh well, those guys eventually got a revamp, so at least there is hope for us.
