Thread: Naming of Ranger PA: Part II
I was going to cast one towards (CORE), but i too like the sound of (ICoR). with all galaxies being inferred. (first thing ICoR popped in my head was M*A*S*H*)
i am 50/50 now. just want to get it named to make things a little easier in forums at least.

, hehe. I'd recommend IROC, but only if SOE can give my Mon Cal a mullet 
. So CORE or ICoR, either is fine with me.
My vote is now CoR or ICoR, either one... we did say we liked 2-letter ones better
It's not going to hinder our efforts to forming the PA, and we still have until I plunk down the 9 lots for the PA Hall, , but I agree - this needs to be finished up.
However, a name is very important since we will be know as this for the rest of eternity. So lets make sure our descendants aren't embarrassed by our choice, heh heh.

Ha Ha Ha!!! What a riot!!! I knew this wouldn't be easy!!! Everyone is coming up with some good stuff, but there are still some issues being brought up. Even so, progress is being made.
As of right now, the voting is as follows(including the comments and reservations made):
Ranger Elite Force (REF) - 5
No major issues mentioned other than the word 'Elite' being to 'elitist'.
Circle of Rangers Elite (CORE) - 13
Many liked this name, and more votes would have probably been cast had it not been for the "Elite' again. Most suggested dropping the 'Elite' and sticking with Circle of Rangers (CoR)
Independent Ranger Coalition (IRC)- 11
This one would have also had more votes had it not been for the acronym. As you know, IRC is know as the Internet Relay Chat.
So based on this information, it seems that the last two were equally well liked - with reservations. Another good suggestion was:
Intergalactic Circle of Rangers (ICoR)
This one actually became my new favorite since we want torepresent all galaxies. The only problem is the acronym - I don't really want to be seen as an 'eyesore", heh heh. Maybe its just me and it would be ok. Perhaps something like Circle of Intergalactic Rangers (CoIR) would be better. Who knows?!!!
Anyways, I think we have whittled it down a bit more.I suggest we now stick with the names in this list and iron this out!!!

i voted for CORE in the in-game e-mail you sent me, and im sticking with that as my first choice, though i wouldnt be upset if it was CoIR cause that is pretty cool too, either way the world is still rainbows and lollipops for me, recap, i voite CORE

so there i was, dropping my CH boxes and deciding which creature or two i would keep in my data pad (sold the rest), ended up keeping a vicious guf drolg and a agrilat rasp.
what does this have to do with the ranger PA u ask? well, the guf drolg -which i can still call- i hope will be mountable, and the rasp (small, plain, insignificant birdy), i named ICoR.
and as i haven't seen anyone else use a pet in this manner,i will have the ranger PA name following me around. of course, it will be changed to whatever is finally decided.
so, as i have licked this ice-cream and now call it mine, i hope this idea catches on for the ranger PA.
Sorry to throw another name in to the fray, but is this going to be a small PA or a large one? If it is going to be large then I suggest that the term "circle" would be a understatement to the PA name. And if this is PA in hopes of gathering rangers from every corner of the known galaxy, then I throw in my suggestion:
INTERGALACTIC NETWORK OF UNITED RANGERS or I.N.U.R. for short pronounced (in-er)
It seems to have a more Star Wars tone to it, without having those typical medieval tones to a guild name.
