Has anyone suggested "Antarian Rangers"? That at least has some canonical background to it, and could easily be broken up over different servers/galaxies with no problem.

Just a thought. =)

Good grief!! This could go on forever and we will never get going! Lots of good suggestions and I will throw them out at tonights meeting, but tonight we will decide once and for all!!

I suggest all those that want their voice heard to attend the meeting, even if you are on a different galaxy - just create a temp and join us.

Antarian Rangers
a para-military group based on several planets, including Toprawa, they were formed to assist and aid the Jedi Knights. They were trained to be masters of any environment, in order to help the Jedi in any way possible. During the Clone Wars, whole groups of Antarian Rangers were killed off, and many of the survivors scattered and went underground.

Though they come from an earlier timeline, it would be neat (for RP purposes at least) to take the Antarian name and say that we're the reformation of the underground rangers.Of course, we don't need to say that--but I think it'd be fun (and as SeaRaptor points out, it DOES fit in with actual Star Wars history).Maybe when we start seeing some Jedi, we could take up the tradition of aiding them. I personally think this is a great idea. SeaRaptor, good thinking.

Also, if you follow the early drafts of Star Wars, we could use the name "Aquillian Rangers":

However, my vote now goes to "Antarian Rangers."
