Thread: This just in, Camo for the masses, Rangers save the world.
How many Rangers does it take the change the spinner blades in a recycler? Ten. One to change the blades and nine to sit around the camp fire talking about how good the old blades were.
We have been completely replaced, and here is the documentation to prove it
- Camo:
Riflemen Cover, Jedi Force Cloak, anyone with a Ranger buddy to make 'em for them
- Mask Scent:
See above
- Creature Harvesting:
Harvesting droids, packs oflow-level scouts with Veghash, creature-harvesting attachments
- Rescue:
"Pass-through assist." See tuesday's tips for this description.
- Traps:
Every profession getting "mezzing" and"snaring" effects.
- Camps:
Pfft, no one gets wounded anymore, and that's all they are good for anyways.
- Terrain Negotiation:
Attachments, BE tissues, Chef Food: Travel Biscuit, other professions with the same modifier.
- Creature Knowledge:
Everyone sees the same f'ing things now!
- Creature to-Hit bonus:
Chef Food: Gralynin Juice
- Creature to-damage bonus:
Why do we even bother anymore? Seriously. Consider this list. This is a problem.

+5? That's not even worth mentioning anymore.

Since you put it like this. . . . .
/gets up from his camp, wipes the camo from his face puts his gun down and takes off his armour. Walks slowly, taking one last glance back at his camp and walks with arms out, eyes closed into a pack of Bull Rancors.![]()
I disagree. I think your statements and very poorly thought out and your pan-forum historonics are hurting the profession as a whole. All professions are defined by a very small number of unique abilites and the marvelous way people play and identify with a profession, not my the skill boxes.
I would ask you, is the pistoleer profession broken because rifleman can also kill creatures? Is the Doctor profession a waste because I can get novice medic and provide healing to by groupmates?Has the Fencer profession been destroyed because Swordsmen can also use edged weapons? Have Rangers been cast aside because other player can now use something that we can make? I think not.

Assuming that only Rangers can craft camo I think this is the best news we've had in a while...if we play itright.
Until they go out and ride their speeder past their first Kwi and it breaks. So they stop, re-apply, get on their speeder and then fnd that the Kamirith breaks it too. So they stop and give it a third try and find the Rancor breaks it. So they just keep riding and they get to their harvestors where they apply it one more time, to find out that the Nightsister Slaves don't break it, they just ignore it and kill your crafter friend anyway. That's when they show up at the cloning center with a cybernetic arm wanting their money back for the crate of kits you sold them.

Why does that make it the final straw?why are we not complaining that you no longer have to have medic to use a stim pack? Why are we not complaining that anyone with a ranged profession and is above a certain level, can use a Jawa Ion Rifle? This change is consistent with the way that the CU is going, specialization and general upgrades. We will never get exactly what we want.... however, we will get better. In my personal opinion, i would not have made the same decision... but i do think that the devs have a plan for us, and it will be a good one.If not, and i no longer have fun, then i will quit... no threats, no hard feelings... no dramatic betrayals, I will be happy for the fun ive had, the friends ive made... but my god...stop the drama please!!
100% ACK
I can't add anything right now, we should stop screaming or we will turn into some kind of mutant BH/Jedi whin0r
I suggested that about a month ago in this post:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=ranger&message.id=103061#M103061
I never expected the devs to go to the extreme and have it applied by non-rangers themselves. My idea was to have rangers be the only ones apply it kinda like the way docs were applying buffs in starports.
You guys wouldn't listen. Instead of applying pressure to keep it that way, they instead listened to the crafter community and had it our way. I suppose the ranger community will be equally divided as regards to whether these buffs should be applied by non-rangers but the time to argue was a month ago when I first suggested it in your forum.
Now like it or not it is here and in the TC to boot.

You ask HOW to sell them if you want to sell them? Sorry to be unfair and aggressive on the answer but as you started your post with a very annoying "none of you get it..." I have to vet a bit
Have you ever thought about talking to someone who has a vendor?
Have you ever thought about interacting with others?
So I should have better not hit the submit button, but I guess as you can read this I must have hit it.
And please don't think I don't like you I was just pissed as you said most of us are stupid and that included me

That's quite allright. You mind if I slap you around with your own words then?

Have artisans and alike ever thought of talking to us to apply camo to them? No, instead they whine and get a free ranger skill. That's why I would like a free artisan and entertainer skill in return: be able to place a vendor _and_ to do BF/wound healing

There's a thing called the bazaar where you can sell it for up to 20k apiece if you want. Makes it easier for us crafter too:
"Hmmm... need to make a harvester run in dantooine...Ahh! Good old trusty bazaar. 20k apiece?? Cool, I'll take 5 of those. I'll make it up when I sell my stuff in my vendor or the BAZAAR.
