I almost never hunt on Tat, much less visit there. The newest uber spawn of Avain Meat on Wanderhome is on Tat. Is there any chance of myself and a few low level scouts getting a large stack from those darn nunas? Is it a pipe dream to believe that it can be done AND allow me to keep my sanity? Should I just wait for the next spawn and pray it isn't on Corellia?

Corellia is better than Tatooine. Yes you are limited to rasps and gulginaws, but you can get missions for the latter.

ROFL I actually got sent a contract for 100 cpu for the Tat avian. I grudging accepted.
So I have to disarm pistol to get a mission for a dward nuna. When I get there, I can kill one with just using pistol whip, which at least means no condition lost on these things. Or fanshot one, kills all out of lair, and hits lair hard enough to spawn more. LOL In an hour, I had 615 units. I put them on the guys vendor, and told him I was not hunting it anymore. But that was 61500 credits for an hour of boring work.
I considered going to Eisley and finding some noob scouts. Contracting them out to gather it for me at 50cpu. They can use the xp, easy for them, maybe not as boring, and heck 50cpu!!! for a noob. Then I would sell it at 100cpu. But I didn't

heh, i collected about 100 units of this meat recently - looking for krayts... this is probably the only place our "bonus" to harvesting actually matters.. i keep thinking of going back (especially if it is as profitable as it was for squid), but no way i could just take missions... its way easier to kill natural spawns while you hunt for some other reason - much less mind numbing that way...

My Ranger meet character is still at Tat and Nunas are right at her level! 
I've been crazy at work this week but if I have time to get on before the shift I will.

It is funny you should mention that becuase my Doc friend who helped at the Ranger Meet keeps hinting that we should have another hunt on Tat...soon 
. He thinks the harvesting amoeba could work wonders for the meat collection . But any help I can get is appreciated .

I love Tat. Iknow it like the back of my claw, but I don't think I could accept a contract for Tat Avian. Not unless the cpu was very high.

400 cpu???? Oh. My. God. Can you imagine what buffs must cost if Docs have to pay this much?? I don't have much sympathy for doc complaints about pricing... but THIS I can understand. yikes!!

The other alternative, and you need a VERY large group of Master Scouts and Ranger all pumped up veghash to make this worth it, is to use the Jabba's palace meat harvesting routine. Everyone does the Palace up until the chef mission where you have to collect the bird meat and then you repeat it over and over. Its still soul destorying but a little less so.

It's the harvesting amoeba...It is a beautiful and impressive sight to see it in person (a la the great Ranger meet).
