Ranger Archive
Thread: I need your help peeps!
A way to test it would be to have someone stand by a spawn. Preferably a semi-rare creature type such as a deranged wrix or with a marker like two babies. The person with track then runs out to 500 meters, occassionally checking if the creatures are still showing.
By leaving one person at the lair, you ensure they do not despawn. If you do it in the evening on some place like Corellia with a mission lair, you also won't have a lot of other spawns cluttering the track window.
So, um, are you going to leave out things like the Ranger traps, the worthlessness of camps and conceal being spotty and slated to not work with NPCs?
Or are you going to stick it all in and use it as a dig to get us the changes we were told about last August?

And maybe you will unlock the uber title of "sugar-coated marshmallow chicken" if you give Calc his answer.
ANECDOTES: I like the "Ranger is a lifestyle..." quote. You can leave out the "not a profession" part if it seems bitter. I also like akflyer's recent comment "-Rangers get a hidden skill, +100 Content!!"
And if you could get a screen shot of someone with a gorax in their areatrack window that would be cool.

I am pretty sure that the range is constant. Trying to track something 500 meters away when you have little more than the name is kind of rough though.

I am simply explaining the skills that are gained throughtout the profession. I am going to leave commentary out as it is inapproriate for what was requested of me. I know you were being sarcastic, but I wanted to make sure everyone was clear on this.
Or are you going to stick it all in and use it as a dig to get us the changes we were told about last August? No good would come from that. It would just tick off the Devs.
