Ok, so I'm becoming more and more upset by this as we go. I know that there's a wicked run of Avian on Rori right now (or there was anyway). I'm a Master Ranger/TKM, and I'm not capable of getting any missions even when i equip a non-certified weapon and pull a droid out. Is there a specific area on Rori where Rasps or VirVurs spawn in the wild and in large quantity? Or even better, how are you guys equiping in order to gain access to the missions?
Any help from my fellow Rangers would be hugely appreciated,

You pretty much are screwed on this one. Rori avian is only 1 step up better than harvesting tat avian. Good luck and make sure not to lose your sanity or what sanity you have left.

dag... i had hoped that equiping certain level uncertified weapons would help me, but even unarmed i take on 2-3k missions... its becoming increasingly difficult to find those wild spawns. 3 hours of walking around from city to city and i found 1 wild VirVur spawn and 1 wild Rasp spawn (well, half of one because spinflaps were killing my birdies!).
thanks much for the info guys,

Here's what you do -- for rori avian, forget the mission terminals; there used to be midnight and dusk vir-vur missions, but there no longer are.
BUT midnight, dusk, and twilight vir vurs abound in the mountains around the rebel outpost and on the southern and eastern-most mountainous edges of the map. Just look around for rocky shelters. Midnights dropped 50 units under the old harvesting rates (that is 100 or 105), so you'll get even more now if you can find them. Again, the secret is to figure out where they are most likely to spawn -- the rebel op is a good spot, but too many people know about that, so head to the mountains if you can't find any there. It beats the hell out of running rasp missions any day.
Oh, and if you see another master ranger looking for vir vurs outside the rebel op, group with him or her -- it means that when you do find a wild lair, you'll get 40% more.
OK, and here's the other secret to rori avian -- I myself would never stoop to this level, but if you're desperate, there are static spawns of timid vir vurs outside of narmle and restuss. Just one-shot, kill, harvest and repeat. Oh, kill off all the other things that spawn in the same spot and harvest them too - I found (ok, maybe I have done this before :>) that sometimes two vir vurs will spawn and at the other time a vir vur and one of those pig things and something else will spawn and if I killed the other things and harvested them, then the next wave would spawn sooner.

Thanks Iseult. I checked out the surrounding areas of the Rebel Outpost, and although it wasn't filled to the brim with rocky shelters of virvurs, i found alot more than around Narmle. Many thanks to you.

I find starting in the SW corner of Rori, Restuss I think, and just walk NE and you will run into many rasps and vir virs.

SW Corner is Narmle. After the Talus avian span, I've been dreading having to hunt rasps again
Saying that though, I might go for a walk around late tonight though, we'll see. No rasps though, VegHash and Vir Vurs only

Uhg Vir Virs are Rori wooly too /shiver.
Find mountains. I seem to remember some hidden lairs of Vir Virs... what flavor eludes me. If you stick to a limited area, killing every lair you see helps a bit. More lairs killed = more lairs spawed = more chances to get lairs you want.

i dunno man, i love Rori... its dingy, desolate, yet strangely beautiful. a perfect place to retreat to when you're sick of Dantooine or Corellia. I just wish the "simulated free-market" would reflect the quality of this meat. oh well, i suppose its our own fault for allowing ourselves to sell for 100cpu... poo.

i went on yesterday and found a bunch of wild spawns, as well as 2 lairs (or was it 1??), and logged with about 1.5k of virvur meat. it isn't a glorious amount, but it'll help a few guildies for sure. All I know is that docs are offering 100-150cpu for this stuff on the trade forum, and they'll get none of it from me. its exploitation really, since I haven't seen a reduction in buff prices, which means they've been charging us all the same price for good-great-pisspoor quality products, but they demand price reductions for what they say is an over-evaluated material.
to hell with those docs, those who want quality avian will have to pony up from 250-350 at least. but that's just me taking care of me and mine! long live rangers!
