Thread: Rebel Recon Armor is...FUGLY!

I'm sorry, but I'm actually thinkning of opting out of the Ranger profession simply because of how ugly the Recon armor is. It sort of looks like loose fittingpajamas, and the helmet....well, almost looksobscene.
Why did the devs ever remove the rebel scout helmet (quest item from reb theme park)from the game? That helmet along with the gear worn in Return of the Jedi would be perfect for Rangers and their new role. What are the chances that the devs are actuallyconsidering the creation of a class specific armor just for us Rangers?
Would be nice...

You are aware that Rangers are currently certified for battle armor, and after the intial release of the revamp document the cert was changed back to battle armor from recon.

it's in the main revamp thread. also, check the revamp FAQ here. I haven't checked, but I would guess it has been updated there as well.

Gotta be brutally honest, here: I'm not horribly impressed by the appearance of ANY of the Rebellion's armor. I guess they must be horribly effective in protecting the wearer, because that'd be the only way I can see anyone could justify wearing them....!

I like them. I the one I could live without is Rebel Recon only because I despise the helmet.
Granted they don't compare to the looks of Imperial Faction armor.
The absolute worst has to be Marauder battle armor helmet.

It's not. Infact theres realy no reason to sport it unless you got some nice tapes in it and it's adk'ed and crafted realy well. Haveing to bio link it is a waste and it just doesnt look good at all, maybe with different helmets. I get some armor custom made to look like the rebel npc's you can get from a recruiter, since theres realy no way to get anything that looks like the movies unless you have about 10-20 mil to spend on the endor helmet.

and if you're like me, and cannot wear the stylin Scout Trooper helmet, get an Armorsmith to make you a nice Dark Black Mabar Armorweave helmet. It looks GREAT with the scout armor.

I would venture to say that Rebel Recon armor looks better on females than any Imperial armor looks on a Rodian. There's a reason why Rodian's weren't supposed to wear the armor and still can't wear the helmet, the Empire is racist. It was specifically spelled out during beta, other races will have a penalty to faction gains and will not be ale to wear Imperial faction armor.
