I never thought of it this way... ranger money.

That is probably because since i'm from the US, i don't regularly see or use Canadian money, so i can have a different perspective.

or maybe it's just a covert way of making fun of Canada.

but i'm aboot 95% sure it's the first one, eh?

Well, my crafting account, Teero, is now a 4-4-3-3 weaponsmith. Just a few more evenings of grinding and i'll finally hit master Weaponsmith.

Which means that it's time to start figuring out what weapons i'll need to try and always keep in stock.

I figured that we Rangers seem to know alot about critters at least, so we'd know what weapons would sell well for PvE.

I know that VibroKnucklers sell well. that's what everyone in the weaponsmith forums are always saying.

But we've got a lot of Riflemen here, and some Pistoleers and Cabineers too.

So i guess here's the questions:

Out of all the weapons in your arsenal, could you answer a few questions:

Which weapon do you find that you use the most?

My Ranger is a Master Pikeman, and I find that I use my Long Vibro Axe MUCH MORE than I ever use my Vibro Lance.

Which weapons do you seem to keep wearing out faster than others (probably end up being the same answer as the first question)?

Which weapons out there would you love to use or try out, but no one ever stocks?

for example, i've never seen a spraystick stocked on a weapon vendor.

Which weapons are you certified for in your main combat profession that you'd NEVER use, even to save your own neck?

in other words, which weapons should i not even bother to try to stock on my vendor?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

DXR-6B. I have a looted one with low HAMand got a half decent damage slice on it. Still less than 400 max damage but I can use specials without having to stim myself every 4 shots (like T21). I can also use it without brandy if needed.

Same

Beserker rifle Hopefully these will be fixed next publish.

SG82 (ap too low, looks like a shower head, cold damage, but most stuff goes down quicker due to higher ap on other rifles)

To be honest I only ever use my DXR or T21 nowadays.

I hafta agree with the DXR-6B rifle. Very nice weapon and a mainstay next to my Bowcaster, which is sliced and experimented to mean levels for a Bowcaster. T-21 for when you need the punch.

Worst Weapon... Jawa Rifle. I don't see why these are so popular except for Stun damage. I've never seen one that does decent damage(average max of 120 damage), and the speed ain't good either. Rather use anything. I do use an SG82 however, for when I need something with speed. Mainly for grinding XP when speed is more of a factor than damage.

Weapon I would love to try but can't find: DE-10! I've seen two of these on my entire server, both of them were being sold for millions of credits. The idea of even touching one of these "arouses" me.

I have a scheme and a barrel for a DE-10 sitting in my shop.

The reason they are so rare is that the Looted DE-10 Barrels are not serial numbered, and only drop one at a time, so it is impossible to factory run them. Also, the looted schematic only has one use as well (i think, i'm not Master WS yet, so i can't learn the scheme).

The DE-10 can be a EXTREMEMLY powerful pistol if made right. A guildie can kill my Master Pikeman toon in 2 or 3 shots from that gun when i'm unbuffed and armored (although, armored for Oreet means full Ubese).

I do have a question about Bowcasters, i'm sure this is the wrong forum to ask, but can only Wookiee Weaponsmiths craft Bowcasters? Because my Rodian weaponsmith, Teero, is unable to craft these weapons.

Thanks for the input so far guys, keep it coming, especially any carbineers, pistoleers, or melee Rangers out there.

As a swordsman I use powerhammers as my standby. I use Scythes as a freequented backup depending on resists and how much I'm relying on accuracy.

2hd curved swords are a weapon I would like to use more but noone puts the effort into making these. It is, IMO, a very underrated and underused weapon. It is possible to make stats on these puppies comparable to a scythe and they also look super cool.

That's my 2cents... that's 2 cents Canadian though so it's not quite as valuable as all the US 2cents floating around out there.

I know exactly what you mean about the 2-Handed curved swords.

My roommate is a Master Doctor/Master Swordsman, and he swears by his 2-Handed Axe (the one that looks like the Gammoraean Battle Axe). That axe has Medium AP with Kinetic damage, and is almost as good as his scythe.

I already plan on making sure that one and two handed curved swords are stocked, as well as 2-handed axes.

Also, from the previous posts, i know to keep the Disrputor Rifles in stock. I've seen a friend drop Nightsisters pretty fast with one of those bad boys.

and don't be so down on canadian money. just because your pennies have leafs on them doesn't mean they are worth less. Besides, you guys have ducks and bears and stuff on your money.

if i was making fun, it was all in good humor.

i have a friend who used to live in canada, and i still chuckle whenever she says "aboot".

but back to the original thread, anyone else out there have any weapon insight?

i have TKM, Swordsman, Pikeman (pretty sure), and Rifleman figured out.

any Pistoleers, Carbineers, Marksmen, Fencers, Commandos, or BH's out there that can give some insight as well?

Hmmm, Ranger/Commando??? Now there's an interesting Combination. Too bad it's probably impossible to Master both.

Bah, if you Master Commando, and Master Scout, you've only got 4 skill points left (not even enough to get Novice Ranger). Oh well, there goes that idea...

Xandur,

I hope to have Teero up to Master Weaponsmith sometime this week, but it's rough, because the grind is so HUGE even for the remaining 2 boxes that i very easily get bored and need to switch to Oreet and kill stuff instead, or head to Theed and sell some clothing to some cute twi'leks in the cantina.

by the way, for you or anyone else on Lowca, if you're looking for live entertainers, forget Coronet, Theed has some of the coolest entertainers around, and most are rarely ever AFK.

I'm pretty generic - I use a T21 mostly. However, I did level up three tiers of Rifleman on Bowcaster alone and still carry one "to wear around town" and impress new players. I even have a krayt bowcaster, presented to me by a weaponsmith because I "was the first female wookiee he had ever seen." I could never say that the whole girls get free stuff thing was untrue after that.

And after a nasty run-in with a Stoneskin Hanadark I started carrying one of every damage type in my pack "just in case." If I see a rifle that is an upgrade to any I am currently carrying I will grab it, if I have enough cash available.
