I know, some of you will laugh at this

This will be quick and I am heading to lunch, but...

What if the Ranger was given a skill of Making Wall Mounts?? What I mean is, "Trophy Head" wall mounts.

You can work this two ways really:

1) Being we as Rangers, have to be in the "hunting" party of the person who wants said Trophy Head to be mounted on their wall.

2) We as Rangers can Once a week(??) Mount a Trophy Head.

I know this might sound silly, but have you seen some of the cool wall mounted heads in the NPC Guild Halls and such??

How neat would it be to "Mount" a Rancor head in your home? Showing a prideful accomplishment and neat little feature

There should be a colning facility inside on a master rangers camp, but the catch would be that everyone who wanted to use this facility had to pay about 500credits, and the effect would only last one death, that 500 goes straight to the ranger who set the camp up. Not only would this be really handy, it would actually add something that makes a ranger better than a scout could ever be

I kind of like the idea (it'd be nice for the advanced planets) but it would open the door to Zerging en masse.

Zerging is, essentially (in this game), finding an extremely tough MOB and launching yourself repeatedly at it, dying again and again, until it is worn down and dead. You'd have a group of people hitting Krayts in waves of respawning at the Ranger camp.

possiably, but to combat this trend prehaps we should up the cost to 1000+ for every one turn

Another idea: Since a ranger is supposed to be a master at PVE and knows his creatures inside and out, i was thinking of a site bonus. For instance, when it is pitch dark outside, rangers should see outlines on creatures since its very hard to see at night, or to be accurate on the mini map, also they should also highly, HIGHLY have the ranger have novie medical abilities and the ability to heal poisons and bleeding useing diffrend herbs found in the wilderness this is what a ranger is about, so everytime he gets a scar, he doesnt need to run to town and what not. Rangers are also known to be proficient at useing nature herbs for healing so thats not a stretch, please consider this.

Thoughts?

another thought, all about have rangers should have a special affect. Well, it lore and real life, ranger use the sap from trees to coat their weapons in poison, so i was thinking why not have a poison inflicting attack where an attack would poison and slow an enemy, and not just animals but in pve and pvp

I'd like to see DoT traps and the ability to pass our creature to hit bonus to everyone in the group. I also think we should get a defensive bonus vs. creatures, and an ability that allows us to 'scare' creatures into running in the opposite direction (which could be used to clear a safe path through a congested area for the rest of the group). I'd also really like to see lures (sort of like a reverse trap) and at the higher levels, a lure that when the creature reaches it, sets off an attached trap.

I'd also be really interested to see foraged items gain more value. There are lots of good suggestions floating around out here...I'll do my best to see that they get included in reports.

"Portable" cloning facilities are already in the game by way of factional bases (which take a crapload of FP to set up). I don't think they want to "cheapen" that with Master Ranger cloning bases (I think the two might take the same amount of time to achieve, seriously ;-P).

So far in SWG I am a Novice Ranger + Novice Pistoleer. Let me start by saying I'm very happy with the patch that came out for Rangers it helped a lot with the difference between Scout and Ranger. But I still believe that one thing was left out which I think should be apart of the Ranger Profession.
If you notice with the new patch, once you enter an attack mask scent goes away and the npc starts to fire back. Well, the same thing happens with camo kits. There is no diffrence expcet they last longer and they work not only against animals but npc people as well. I believe that camo shouldn't be just used to sneak past people. Camo should be put out there to camoflage you during an attack. Now dont get me wrong I think its a good idea to take mask scent off if you enter an attack because its a lower profession but Ranger is supposed to be an elite profession. Ranger is the perfect hunter and to make that work you need camo during an attack. Now there is one other thing that makes this a problem (which is fixable). If your camo during an attack there is no point right. No one attacks back and kills become to easy. Well, what you do is kinda how we have it, it just needs to be changed a little. With camo as you walk by enemy's and they dont detect you, then you gain xp. When you start an attack with a npc creature or person, each time you fire on them its another chance for the npc to spot you.

Well, thats just my opinion. The other elite professions to me seem a lot better to me. And with this I think it will even Ranger out with the rest.

Post your thoughts and tell me what you think.

Don't take offense that no one is replying, your idea has been mentioned 1000 times in other threads.

I will speak for everyone in saying you are absolutely on target...

Maskscent changed 10 times since launch, camo will change 10 more times as well...
