So how many times have you dropped Ranger/Master Ranger? Why did you do it? How much did you drop before you came about and got it back, and why did you get it back?
Just curious. For me I dropped my Master Ranger tag once. I think it was out of sheer frustration, can't describe it any better than that. I did it a few months after gaining the Master Tag. I only dropped a couple of skills though and quickly re- attainedmy Master tag. My main reason for getting my tag back was, I actually worked like H*** to attain Master Ranger and I was going to keep it no matter what. I think I may have read it once or twice before, can't remember where <wink> Ranger isn't a profession, it's a lifestyle!
Well that's my bit. Hope everyone has fun retelling thier own stories, I know I'll enjoy reading them.

Dropped twice from master the last time only several weeks ago. And what am i doing? Working for it again. I could spend my points somewhere else but CH and Ranger define who Canon Fodder is in game to my guild. The first time i dropped it last august was because my guild needed a weaponsmith. The second time because i wanted to be a commando and just get it out of my system. Master CH/Master Ranger is a support profession and i wanted to get my organics myself. But im looking at that frontieering tree for a third time. And its the community and the identity that goes with the profession. Knowing that most of us in here do it out of a love for what we stand for. More then what are characters can do.
Frontieering three times.... i must hate me

well ranger was my first elite profession i mastered and a only recently droped it for BH/pistoleer. I kept ranger for a long time because despite its problems it liked it. But since i had to cancel my account iv decided to go try out other professions before my account runs out.

Never. I attained the title about 3 months ago and I'll never drop it. It was the soul reason I created my character Gout. But when I do get in the mood to try a new profession I start a new character and get him to where I want him.

I recently dropped my Master Ranger title and all the skills in Scout to try out crafting as a Master Arch... its been the worst decision.
I played scout/ranger since beta 2 and really enjoyed it... held the title proudly after live for past year....
I'm ready to go back but I've got to find decent combat skills to help myself which i lacked before and couldnt never feel like an elite player... more of strict roleplayer with friends...
i dont mind that at all now that I have a more supportive PA to roam the galaxy with.

I dropped my Master tag one time before. It was the toughest thing I ever did. I dropped it due to the holocron madness, back in the day. Every single skill I clicked yes to drop, felt like it was being cut out of my heart. I tied to keep it, but alas Combat Medic made me lose it for about 5 months. I managed to hold onto almost all of the Scout profession, so it made coming back a bit easier. I am currently working my way back to my Master tag (3/1/3/3). Once I get it back, it will be my character forever. Ranger flows through my veins, I will hunt hide, and bone, till the day I die.
God bless all Rangers!

Dropped it once down to 4-0-4-0 Scout. Struggled back to near Master Ranger and dropped it again. Then, I returned to 0-0-4-0 and have been sitting comfortably here and dont intend to drop it anytime soon. Once camo, camps, and traps become more useful I will return with a vengence.

I've never dropped Master Ranger, and don't intend to.
This is the best darn profession in the game! Love it.
