Thread: Help the last respec is tempting me.

I'm MRanger/MRifles now, but the opportunity to respec one last time has me thinking. I'm tired of only having two specials when fighting NPCs during quests, but also enjoy hunting creatures. Is there any way to get more specials without completely blowing up my current template? I'm thinking of the BH or smuggler specials.

It will probably take all freaking day to get the servers back up, so don't worry.
My only day off this week I can seriously play and the servers are down for a respec due to whiners and snivelers.

I can understand that. I called out sick one day during double xp week and the servers were down most of that day. Sad, but true.

I'm respecing today to drop rifle skills and take up some SL skills. My final template will be Master BH, Master Ranger, 04001 Squad Leader. The ranged and melee defenses on my toon are going to be rediculous. I lose the abiility to cover up...but MEH. Without conceal shot, it's not really that big a deal anyway.
and that sucks JB...I have a day off here as well.

So if I drop rifles, and take up MBH, I can use the Scatter Pistol, Proton Carbine (both of which I already have), still use a good laser rifle add specials and keep MRanger?

ayup. that's what I have. I use my laser rifle all the time now (granted I'm 0100 rifles right now). BH + Ranger does providesome additional skillpoints too. I'm picking up the +45 to ranged and melee defense that SL offers and also getting Rally for when I'm group hunting.

Like this will be the last respec. Ha! Come on. The devs have learned that if we complain enough that we only need two things to quiet down. Respec and double XP. And these mechanics are now in game to be dropped at any time something breaks.
Trapping XP broken?
-Respec
Jedis take a lot of level 1 boxes to exploit the respec
-One last respec
Master Rangers complaining there skills are worthless
-One last respec
Server down for longer then expected
-Double XP
See its all very simple. Squeeky wheel gets the oil. Want to lay a bet this isnt the last respec we see in even June?

What's the impact of not having MMarksman when you have MBH and are using all different types of weapons?

Yes, resist the urge. The only reason I'm respecing my mid level Ranger (tier 3with exception of trap which is still at level 1)is so I can take the full trap line, otherwise with how bad the traps are at the moment I would spend an etermity trying to get up this line to go Master. I don't mean to betray those Rangers that did it the hard way (so please don't flame me too bad)but I just can't see it any other way. I was hunting last night and went through approx 100 traps and maybe 5-8 of those actually stuck.
