Thread: Camps...day and night cycle
That's a great idea, but don't our camps have to REPEL the aggressive critter in the first place?
Or have they fixed that when I wasn't looking?

I want herds! I want big herds of Bantha roaming in areas of Tat. I want to see that if you get too close and spook them they aggro on you and trample you to incap or death. The occasional herd find would let hunters get the "farm" effect they are wanting but without the boring safety of it. You want to get alot of meat? You better earn it! Make hunting from mounts(creatures) in those situations more viable so we can do some specials but not all.
/me wants herds of Brackasets.
Good idea btw.I just dont think most people will run for the Ranger tent at night since it only last an hour or so anyway.

OMG, the Devs need to add this NOW. I would love to just follow a herd around. The animal AI can be great sometimes but the spawn points are too static to see much of it. If only you had moving spawn points for herds and predators that followed them. That would be soooo cool.
As for the day night cycle, that would be another nice touch. Maybe make it so that the normal lair creatures group together more while the hunter creatures spread out a bit. And, with herds, you could make for some really interesting effects.

Hurrah! Great idea, i love my fellow rangers, additions that arn't only looking to increase the combat potential of your class. I love sitting round a camp fire at night, chatting about anything and everything, restores my faith in the community
Heres hoping!
I'm for it.

A friend and I tried a little mounted hunting the other day. I have to say it was a blast. It could have been better if we could use specials but we stil had fun.The hunting would boil down to tracking a group of aggro NPC's. Then I would ride in circles around groups of dune stalkers firing into the cluster as she, a fencer, would drive her bantha into the group slashing away like a civil war calvary soldier. Good times.
I like both of the suggestions about ch'S having to train a mount to be used in battle and the idea of moving heards and more aggressive creatures at night.
