OK, Rangers skills are weak, out of balance, blah, blah, blah...
I've been hearing it for a year. And people said, if you don't like Ranger(atm) go do something else, so I did.
But I want to hear the POSITIVE side of The Current State of the profession...
Tell me stories of how the current skill set is BEST put to use.
I'm not asking about Rp'ing, because that part of Ranger was always fun to me...
What are you GLAD you can do now.
There HAS to be something!

I find /areatrack to be incredibly useful, although the ability to track specific things would be even more useful
HTFB are the bomb diggity
I don't mind that our TN covers crawl spped (I use crawl a LOT)
My traps hit EVERYTHING
And then of course, the flavor and RP of the profession

I like the fact that no matter what profession i may be trying out and experimenting with, im still known as a ranger.

I can see the specials on creatures. Kind of useful as a CH and BE.

Sense other templates are more popular with the PvP crowd it keeps the a$$hats away. That is always a good thing.

HIGH POINTS OF RANGER
- There is a forum where the epithet "asshats" is thrown around.
- There is a forum where people actually communicate rather that argue.
- /areatrack is not as bad as people make it out to be. You can actually stalk players from just outside their radar. You can coordinate an attack (by seeing who's by a base) or you can rally up a quick defense (by seeing who's advancing towards your base)
- Trapping may not always work as we like, but since my combat prof doesn't always serve me well, I can trap and run, trap and run.
- The higher level camps are havens for new players and old players alike. Who doesn't go wander out to a HTFB when it is up? I do, just for a converstation. It's a nice feeling.
- The other Rangers
- Being part of a Lifestyle, not a Proffession.
