Thread: Simple post: add CL to areatrack results.
sounds good.
Question: Is there a way to get the critter's concolor on the radar? It would probably take some UI work because the red for aggressive is very handy too. Hmm.. and I don't want to confuse a lvl 80 creature for my swoop either, I suppose.

I personally hope they change the Areatrack concept to be a "following traks" instead of "see far" feature.

Personally id love a revamp to the areatracking results window and obviously would love to see the levels detailed too.
Ever see the EQ style tracking box? It's awesome. If a Ranger opens up tracking, it shows them everything in the area, color-coded by con, with players in another color, and groupmates in yet one more, if I remember right. You can have it sort by nearest or furthest, filter PCs in and out, filter by level, and best of all, when you click on a critter, it tells you which way to go. Every five seconds until you end the tracking (or zone or until it dies), it tells you, "A borer beetle is ahead and to the left," or whichever way it is. The only thing it's missing is distance.
I'd love to get that kind of tracking here. "North" is pretty broad, after all. ![]()
It would also be nice to see Special Forces status in the /areatrack players info.
While that would be convenient, I've noticed that, with a few exceptions, CL didn't change much. After completely scouting yavin, I found that every creature retained its pre-CU level (well, a handful went either up or down two levels). Sadly, with the exception of the geo cave, the stintaril prowler is the only yavin critter above CL 80. (It's an 82; the next toughest creature is the CL 40 kliknik dark queen.) Which makes yav pretty pathetic for an adventure planet. I'd be more concerned with getting wild spawn CL raised than getting the ability to see their current pitifullevel on /ar.
Though I guess if we had that ability, we'd be able to tell the lame wild spawn and the uber mission spawn apart without running to our targets only to find that it's someone's seek and destroy job. The days of the true hunter are over, and I think I'm gonna finally drop master ranger because of it.

I've gotta agree here. I'm pretty dismayed by having to become a mission-terminal junkie. I was really excited because I finally got an alt so I can have a merchant with him and take Cryos back up to Master Ranger... However, I don't think I'm going back to master since the skill points would be better served in BH Carbines than camps.
