Hi all,
I bet you all know about this, but I did not read about it in any guide. When you are camping and have no friends or decided to level it on some sort of desolate planet like Rori, you can improve you visitor number of the camp by calling your pets over and over again. It can even be the same one if you only have one. It helped me, too bad I only discovered it when I already had 3/4 of Frontiering IV done. I wasn't sure if it was an exploit or a bug, so I asked a CSR, and he said it was not.
Obviously if you don't want to keep summoning your pets, one of the best ways is ofcourse to camp near a town like Mos Eisley to chat a bitand get AP from all the scouts that you can teach, like tons of people have said before

It seems like theres a little light of community starting to pop up again. I have been seeing the occasional camp popping up near theed again for leveling. But the person is also there for some conversation to beat the boredom of it. Or in some really extreme circumstances it was being used for roleplaying.
Good to see that there might be something in game besides SWG:Big Game Hunter

You know, that is not a tip, its an exploit and now you've posted it here it'll be nerfed. Wish you didn't...

Its not an exploit. He said he talked to a CSR about it. And its been in game since day 1. Until the devs, CSR's, SOE deem it an exploit. Its a tip

Quite simply it's one of the more social aspects of the game. People can also AFK grind camps. If you're setting up camps outside a city and bringing in newer players, there's no exploit, you're mearly doing things differently. Besides, I doubt the devs woul want to take this away. There' little point. An AFK tumbler in a camp lets you gain med XP and camp xp faster. This is just a nice way to meet new people.

He means the calling of creatures to increase your camps visitor count is an exploit. Since 20 pet calls would allow you to max out a camp in 5 minutes. Not the social aspect.

I tried this, and I also had two friends running in and out of the camp and, at some point, my camp had gotten like 45 visitors. You know what those 45 visitors do to my xp? Nothing... absolutely nothing. My camp still had to be recycled after the same ammount of time as if I had been there with 3 visitors.
What I'm trying to say is, even though your visitor count improves, it may not be in direct relation to the ammount of xp you gain (it probably should, but I found it was not).
Maybe there's a minimum time each visitor needs to be inside the camp for it to add xp or something, might test this ones of these days.
Just a heads up

FYI, visitors and actions within a camp do not raise the xp gained from a camp, but decrease the time it takes to cap the xp gained from that camp.

Ok Calc so calling your pet 20 times to get it to 20 visitors decrease time to max xp from 33 minutes to 5?

I don't know the exact numbers, but that is the theory (I think it takes it from 20ish minutes down to 15....).

My Field Base Camps were maxing at 1100 xp or so, within 11 minutes... give or take. With 2 full time visitors the time went to about 5-6 minutes.
That time when my friends pumped up the visitor count to 45 minutes, I disbanded the camp at 4 minutes, with an xp of around 800-900. So pumping up the visitor number didn't actually reduce the time.
Guess in my other post I was trying to say it did not raise the xp PER minute

Yes, but using your numbers, you gained 1600-1800 xpevery 8-10 minutes with visitorsversus 1100 xpevery 11 minutes without visitors. So every little bit does help.

Totally agree. My point was geared towards how calling and storing your pets loads of times might not do a single thing towards xp/min, as I found out when my friends pumped my visitor count to 45 and the time needed for camp recycling was not modified
