Each server could be different, or for that matter, it could all be the same.

Naboo just plain sucks on my server. Random spawn is about non-existant at times. 100+ people in the Theed starport, spamming and buffing and hanging around. Lag from hell.

Then we get urban sprawl. It is possible to go from one city to another literally without ever leaving a city limit. I think the east of Theed on my server has cities, townships, villages, etc. that seem to stretch for kilometers. Spawn, yeah, minor stuff that spawns around city edges.

Dumbass me took a contract for 20k of fair to middling carni for 30cpu. Man I am bored senseless. I figured I had not been to Naboo in a while, time for some sight seeing. Nice scenery, but too many freaking people. Lag central even in the boonies. Missions pay for crap. I am going to go into the backcountry, but fear that there will be me and nothing else out there.

Last freaking time I take a contract, I swear.

and to make matters worse, I dunno who I am working for. No clue as to faction, location, if he can pay me. Oh well.

i think its a close run race for the 'worst' hunting planet, naboo or corellia. personally id go for the latter, just because i hate coronet! its a silly place, full of silly people, 80% afk

Map edges guys. That is all I can suggest for Corellia and Naboo. Seems on all planets the map edges mirror spawns for some reason. So walk the map edges eastside and westside and see what you get.

Maybe it is server specific I am on Chimaera andI am at the northern end of Naboo on the coastline, I amharvesting animals bones and it is one wild lair after another (well I will be once more when I get home from work).

Although it was my home planet, I don't like Tatooine, too crowded, hard to get a decent quantity of ANYTHING.

any starter planet is awful...

Low quantity per creautre, lower natural spawns, higher lag, less enjoyment. I swear I still hate hunting kaadu's from a shift 8 months ago of Nabooian avian. Which is why it felt so damn good on the Great Ranger meetup to see a bunch of noobies put the smackdown on a kaadu...not for resources, but purely for revenge. Stupid duckies.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Im stuck between the pitch black that is dath. Sure you can get tons of resources but at the expense of your eyes not being able to see a damed thing.

Close second is correlia. On Bloodfin coronet is buff central for doc and mind. So natural spawns just dont happen. And a lot of the more desireable materials keep coming up on creatures that dont have mission spawns.

On my server (FARSTAR) the worst planet for hunting at the moment has to be Rori. The reason? I just travelled all the way from Narmle to Restuss and came across ZERO,ZILCH (0) wild creature spawns at all. I actually think (hope!) it's bugged at the mo.

I would have to say Dath. I just cannot stand those bloody trees and the darkness and the fact that you can't ride afk when you have a long way to go cause you'll likely get postured off your swoop by a rhoa kwi and killed. I actually get really pissed off when i hunt on Dath, not to mention when I was doing whips phase 2 quest.

As for spawnwise... i don't really have a problem since i play on Infinity which is still relatively quiet. I would even venture as far to say that i can rely on wild spawns to have a successful hunting trip on any planet. (maybe not corellia actually..) Imo its a perfect server to be a Ranger on.

I think its funny how many people hate Dathomir. More funny because I do all my combat and scout leveling there.

I was there, before they actually raised the light levels at night, just after release leveling marksman and scout. I did CH there, BH weapons, and all my Elite Combat professions there. I love Dathomir. Dathomir is the Africa of the galaxy.

I loathe Dathomir more than any other planet. It's dark, damp and generally depressing. All those damn hills doesn't make it betterm with lairs spawning on the hillsides. Each time I set my foot upon the planet surface I wish I was back on fair ground, such as good old Naboo. Naboo on Chimaera is not too crowded, in my opinion. Sure, Theed might be quite populated for the mostpart, but the countryside is generally quite unspoiled. A few player cities here & there, not too many of 'em thou.

Corellia is spammed beyond belief. It suffers form the urbanizing phenomenon where everyone migrates to the same city, which in this case is the hub that is Coronet and its immediate surroundings, leaving most other cities deserted.

I guess Dantooine & Dathomir generally provides the best hunting grounds, with top-dollar missions & good Meat/Hide/Bone spawns every now & then.

LOL, this is so true on many servers.

Personally I hate Dantooine. You still get random spawns, but 10-to-1 there's a building or city right next to it. You can't be anywhere on that planet without someone's house, PA Hall, town or city being in view. It's the new Coruscant.
