Thread: Which planets have the best environmental effects?

I started on Tatooine.. the sand storms there are quite nice. I wish they really would blow people around and stuff.

I have seen rain on a few planets, but Dantooine I think has the heaviest rain showers. Total downpour and it makes hard to see anything. I love it.

Dathomir is totally spooky and foggy and dark... really immersive.

Endor.. I don't know... its like too pretty to be that hard... and I don't think it looks anything like in Return of the Jedi. And the music is like from Harry Potter I think.

Naboo has the best beach action. Nice surf sounds. I wouldn't mind having a house there if there was anything decent to hunt. Overall great terrain and a cool planet though.

I don't care for Lok. Its quite boring (except for the volcano) and the acid rivers are completely unconvincing. The terrain is the worst.

Rori is cool. I like swamps.

Yavin is okay too, but they put the MOB lairs like 10feet apart all over the place. I like the terrain.. beaches aren't bad.

Talus, my home planet, has rain that cuts visibilty to less than 10 m. Checked that out yesterday on a waypoint, I was 8m from it when I finally could see it.

The beaches are blahh, lil crabs but no surf. The plains are pretty enough and the mountains are pretty cool. The best part is it is not overdeveloped - yet.

Oh, according to Brisc, the Lokian rivers of pee are the perfect spot for an /atomic swirley.

Yea ever since I moved to Lok, i have slowly realized how ugly it is. Barren waste of land. And the rivers are ugly as all get out. Its actually worse than Tatooine which seems hard.

Rori is great for the thunder storms and downpours. But the most jaw dropping effects ive seen so far is when fog engulfed our city on Dantooine. It looks amazingly real and made everything else look realistic too. You could barely see 5m in from of you, trees were apearing from the fog right in front of you and the grass makes it look and feal like some forgoton marshland.

The Algarat Crystal Swomps of Corillia are nice enough.

Bugger all there, but they look ok.

Naboo has cool swamps as well - look for them around the Gungan temple poi (or around Moenia). No, they aren't as cool as the swamps on cor., but they are cool nonetheless.

I would have to say that I like the effects on Tatooine the best - every time I get caught in a sandstorm there I feel compelled to set up a high tech field base and wait the thing out...

Ditto Talus for the insane thunderstorms. Last time I was there I was actually compelled to put on my swoop helmet and duster to try to keep dry.

I fought a group of Tuskens in the middle of a sandstorm on Tatooine earlier today. It was just awesome. The whole world disappeared and all that was left was the sound of the wind and the combatants.

Looking at the sky while camping on Corellia on a clear night was the best thing the graphic card produced out of this game for me. One would miss that if they ground camping exp

Lok is sadly barren and yet has the best music in the game..

I've always enjoyed Tattooine's nights. In the day the gamma has to be way down to not be blinded by two suns.. but it's nice and calm at night.

Naboo is nice out on the plains during an dusk. As is Corellia. Endor really seems to have few effects, it's a bit boring out there. Dantooine is good for rain and the fogs, but I've spent too much time there to judge it well anymore.

Heh.. needs to be more active in environment.

I love the looks of the Crystal Swamps too. Just wish there was something there cept that one drall cave....seems like a waste of some really amazing art design. They need to put some more content in that area.

Yavin IV is one of my favorite spots as well, and theres plenty of good hunting there. The magnificient balloon plants floating in the sky, the huge moon out at night that takes up half the sky, the unique blues and yellows in the folliage and flowers, the ancient spooky temples, and the very alien looking mountain area near the middle with the weird rocky formations jutting up from the ground. Usually pretty quiet there also....I can hunt there myself all day long and barely see any other players. All in all my favorite planet.

Endor seems like a nice place as well. I really have to explore the desert area some more....it's probably the only area in the entire game I haven't spent much time in yet.
