Thread: Which planets have the best environmental effects?
And I am right outside the Trade Outpost and there is this like road or ramp or something that goes down to the water.. and all the way at the end, right next to the water is this streetlamp thingy. It was so cool.. middle of the night, standing out there next to this light in the dark.. hearing the Rancors roar in the distance and catching fish. Then the thunderstorms cranked up and I was like 'WOW'. I loved it.
I have to say... its dark and its tough.. but I have never felt more "in the game" or immersed than I do on Dathomir.
I agree, Dath is highly immersive and spooky, especially if you go to the nightsister areas, floating sigils, rocks and all around spooky stuff..
This is why im a ranger, I go places where others never really do, unless its for xp
I still remember my nights camping on Corellia with fondness (and two screenshots). Once was in the rain, So you've got this wookiee huddled over the fire with his hood pulled up to ward off the rain, and nothing else anywhere near.. The other shows a shuttle flying through the sky, and the moon visible above my wookiee's camp.
A question, though.. Has anyone ever noted that the gas giant that Endor is supposed to orbit is suspiciously absent from the sky? When it's above Endor, you shouldn't be able to see anything else, but it's.. never there. Unless Endor's got a really funky orbit that keeps the side represented by the map always facing away from the gas giant, it seems to me like they forgot something...
I also love Talus. I started in Nashal, great noob city. The best memory I have of Talus is that on day 2 after release i used my craptastic 1st level maskscent and walked from Nashal to Dearic just taking in the sights. It was pretty scary because at the time I had no idea what types of creatures lived there. I saw everything from Torturs to Rasps and I was just blown away, literally, I got wasted by some Binayre Pirates who didn't take kindly to me trespassing on thier turf. Luckily I didn't get deathblown and eventually made it to Dearic. It was a first of many great days in SWG.
I also love the beaches on Yavin, awesome white sand with the light blue sky and the red moon in the background. I have a screenshot of that on my desktop.
