Nemo,
This is a good idea, but...
...most of them would respond - fix us first!
I've asked TH what we can expect in the way of profession changes. I'm waiting on a response that I can let you guys know, but from what I've been reading, I think we all better get used to the fact that the focus is now on combat and GCW changes, and not on profession changes. We'll need to be patient - which we're pretty good at now.

*ahem* Might be nice to hear about the Ranger Correspondent Race too

Once we get a correspondent, the rangers can organize a simple request to all the crafting professions to support us and themselves in giving rangers the harvesting boosts they really do need.
I think that I should include a few caveats however
What to say:
What not to say:
Once again, we need to keep it simple and garner the support of the entire community and I think that we would have a good chance of being heard.
Thanks Nemo0

WhatAgon said. I think this will be much more beneficial than a strike or a march. It would protect the economy, and show that we are still mature.
That was the idea. While a strike or march might be fun, it really just ends up hurting people. And, as long as we focus mainly on a few small fixes first (i.e. stuff that can be done as an extra feature in a publish, like harvesting mod improvement) then I don't see crafters complaining to fix them first. Plus, this helps them almost as much as it helps us. More resources means lower prices. And we definately need lower prices. Maybe we should leave out the request for a revamp, though. Delta does have a very good point in that. And the devs have said they will get around to it eventually. Think of this more as getting a bug fixed that is ruining the economy
. And the easiest bugs to fix would probably be the harvest rate and trap effectiveness (as they just need to either increase the effectiveness of the mods or increase the amount given to a Ranger). Both of those would let us get a lot more resources (traps by letting us kill big stuff and harvest rate by letting us get more from those kills).

Woot!
Finally someone mispelled my name...(and its the name of Jason's ship in greek mythology too)
lol, thanks EbeLightcloud
So essentially what we need as a "team" is the following..
1 Ranger per crafting forum (or a Ranger willing to do double/triple duty)
Best case scenario, the Rangers assigned to each crafting forum are already a member of that community. Worst case scenario, the Ranger assigned at least has a good amount of experience with that crafting profession.
1 Ranger pergalaxy forum (or the aforementioned willing to do extra duty)
The Ranger assigned to the galaxy forum must play on that galaxy, and best case should be an active member of that galaxy's forum community already.
Shall we start with volunteers? I'm willing to take Valcyn, but if there is a Valcyn Ranger who is actually active on the Valcyn boards, they'd be better qualified than I.
Although I am not currently a Ranger anymore, I've spent a great deal of time as a MRanger, and do actively participate in Ranger issues. I do plan on going back to Ranger as soon as the profession is given some usefullness.
The only issue I see with the price fixing is this. What is to keep players from buying up our hard earned resources that we are selling atreasonable prices, and turning around and selling at current market value.
If there is no Current Ranger willing to take Kauri, I would be glad to, although I think Someone who is currently a veteran Ranger would be more accepted .
