Let's start collecting the ideas for /areatrack to add to the soon to be (re)made Top 5 Issues list. Please stay on topic in this thread and all discussion is appreciated.

1. Increase range.

2. Find spawns that are not visible yet (as in spawns that only show up when you get close to them).

I love this ability, but agree that it has some bugs. Searching the area and getting a 'nothing in your current range' message, and walking a few feet to find a lair of creatures is annoying. For me, being Ranger/Creature Handler, I'd love to put one of my 'dogs' on the scent to ferret the critters out. A larger range would be nice, but as it stands now with shifting creatures and lairs, I think would be an even bigger problem then it already is unless something is changed first. Some sort of fix would be nice.

Range is fine. A round grid is a lot of area you think about it. If we do a range change, make it within a certain limit, like 45 degrees, you pick the directions.

If we do an areatrack, that should let us know what will spawn in the area. The server knows, or the stuff would not be there when I trip over it. Is it a secret? Let us in on it.

Range is fine as is I think, 500m works out to pretty big area when you consider it's 500m in ANY direction from where you stand.

The ability to see lairs that have not yet spawned critters would be nice.

An automagic goto function is what I'd really like to see for areatrack though. Select the critter from the list, hit OK and start running. If we can't have that, then movement notifications would just as good.

As everyone else:

(1) Increase range

(2) Create spawns of a specific lair or creature, but not a rare like a peko^2 alby.

P.S. /areatrack people is great for finding that trainer in a player city you're not familiar with. Probably obvious to y'all, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

increase the range by far more especially @ master ranger

also a diff skill track to be able to find a specific creature with a greater range than the area track, if it fails it gives an approximation of the direction of the creature. somethign like surveying but different u just have to find the 100% spot

picture this : u set afoot on a new planet in search of one specific creature, then you have to track him for whole kilometers in order to find him.

Wait a minute we could also have a ranger terminal with tracking missons t hen we loot the creature with a special object and return it to the misson giver

also change the title for this branch as Man hunter plz plzplz we track other players after all

being able to organise the results found on track in Distance, or Name. Its frustrating to browse through an entire list of non alphabetic order names to find one you're looking for
