Thread: Increased Spawnrate of Krayts really messing things up...

In about an hour time, I got killed once, incapped about 10 times....

In the northern region of tatooine I'm hunting Bantha's for their hides. So I'm just doing my business as usual, when suddenly a giant canyon krayt (457k) drops on top of me! Literally. Needless to say, I was killed almost instantly. A passing by doctor just gave me a free buff just 1 minute before this happened....

So single trip to the cloner and back at it. Again, new set of bantha's found, doing my thing. Suddenl another krayt appears. I burst ran the hell out of there.

Next lair of bantha's... Killing 3 of them off, then suddenly the whole spawn dissapears.

Next lair of bantha's. Tracking this time: ah krayt dragons to the N and NE, so I go S/SE

Next I know, when walking S/SE I bump into 2 (TWO) ancient ones. Burstrunned out, but got incapped... Then the ancient withdrew...

Too make a long story short:

* TRACKING is not working with the new spawnrates. It's completely worthless. Before you needed to track to FIND a krayt, now you CAN'T even use it to EVADE them.

* The dropping on top of a playerand removal of spawns when they are being attacked are just so .... well fill something in that sounds very nasty and not very friendly either.

For me, this rather sucks.

Any other places/regions on tat (except dumb missions) where I can find wild spawns of banthas?

Tat has a special place in my heart and I always love exploring/hunting/travelling on that planet. However, the new boom in the Krayt population really does make this a huge pain in @#$.

Ow and about the S/SE I meant S/SW... My mistake.

And also LESS then 500m before running into them...

So either they don't show up or just spawned when i got near their location... somehow...

Ya I feel for you. I spend a lot of time in the area.

When in the Jundland Wastes area you have to act like the server is way over loaded, even if there is no one around. I guess Kryat AIs tax the server or something. If there are a lot of people forget it.

If you move VERY slowly it does help. This means coming to a full stop every 30 m, lol. If you pop a squat (or a camp) and just chill in one spot for 15 - 20 min you will do much better even in areas as far as 1000 m from that spot. I guess the server says "Hey I guess they are hanging out, I'll actualy tell them about the stuff here."

You'll still get something spawning on you once in a while, but if you play to the server it will be nicer to you.

Oh ya and for avoiding them I just have my radar very big at 128 m, with the con thing checked. With the above I can make it through the area really well.

/ar is kinda iffy if there are single targets that can whoop the crap out of you is seconds hehehe. Well at least in this case.

You know something is out of balance when large parts of Tatooine are more dangerous and more trouble to traverse than Dathomir.

Well with the new CU you might as well realize you will have no survivability in this game. You will have to get your combat buddies to kill anything that is moderately dangerous for you.

Man I'll be perma buffed, lol. I'm going to feel uBeR when the CU hits.

I already have to watch my HAM, and my health is 1000.

While the amount of Krayts in the canyon is annoying, that many large preditors in that confined of an area is laughable, the fact that places like Wayfar is over run with them is mind boggling, considerind it is almost as far from the canyon as one can get. If there were as many Krayts per square kilometer in the movies as there are in this game now Luke would have not worried about Tuskens as every person on the planet would simply have been known as Krayt Snacks.

Luckily I have yet to be killed by one of these but they have caused me to waste a lot of time in walking far around them.

I was out doing Jabbas TP a couple of months ago and I suddenly got incapped and DB'd while fighting "Valarians Assasin". I couldn't believe I got one shotted by a blue conned npc, until of course, I turned the view and right behind my corpse was a Giant Canyon Krayt grinning at me. I cloned at WayFar, with a disabled swoop. It was a long, long walk to Mos Luna* I can tell ya!

* Player City on FarStar, about 4000m from Wayfar

Darianne, have you found Tatooine Camo kits any help at all? I find that Krayts break Maskscent very quickly, haven't tried camo though.

Insta break on any bigger than the Juvies. Very small chance it won't break on them too.

I have it at 256m (even further)... Yet it doesn't show until you're on top of it.

I guess it has a bit of the same stuff /ar uses...

Yup, and that is ridicilous.

I'm hunting banthas... Not Krayts...

For bantha's I don't need friends to hold my hand. For fun together yes, but not to keep me safe.

And I don't consider a KRayt "moderately" dangerous....
